Tuesday, April 26, 1921. 8TH FIREMEN'S BALL DEDICATES BUILDING BUENA PARK, April 26—(Special) The new building of Mr. A. Nelson's was dedicated Friday evening by the Firemen's ninth annual ball. There were about 150 guests present. All the latest dances were in evidence as well as Die Paul Jones, and a quail-rille which was called by Mr. McGee. Punch was served during the evening. Miss May Beach and Mr. Ed Beach of Hollywood with a party of friends attended the Firemen's dance Friday evening. Other out of town guests were Harve Osborne of Fullerton, Webb Andrews of Anaheim, Miss Alda Smith of La Habra, Mrs. Nellie Andrews of Compton. Miss Opal Whitwell of Victerville visited with her aunt, Mrs. M. Osborne, during the past week. Miss Irma Robinson returned Saturday day from a two weeks visit with her aunt, Mrs. Ork House at Van Nuyts. Mr. and Mrs. John Denheart of Redland spent Thursday evening and Friday with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Golden. Mr. and Mrs. O. Gren of San Bernardo visited over the week-end with Mrs. Green's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Childers. Mr. and Mrs. Gee, Gill and son Warren of Sawtele spent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. E. P. Mann. Mr. and Mrs. A. Nelson Beulah and Raymond Nelson attended the Rialto in Fullerton Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Follis and children were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. P. H. Luzier Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Follis moved Sunday into their new home on Tenth-st. Mr. R. Z. Adams and son Bobby and Mrs. E. Dutesch of Los Angeles were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Robeson Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hill and son Thomas went to the Rialto in Fullerton Sunday afternoon. Others from the Park at the show were Mrs. E. Williams and daughter, Doris, Pugh and son James, Mr. Cooper, Mr. Gerald McComber and daughter, Geraldine, Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Robeson and children. Mrs. Mark B. Shaw and daughter, Miss Emily Shaw returned to their home in San Bernardino after visiting for a week with Mr. and Mrs. W.B. Mr. and Mrs. H.A.Knight and Mr., Mrs. N.W.Reneker motored to San Bernardino Thursday. Mr. and Mrs.Norman Guthrie and Mrs.Carrie Guthrie attended the Mission play at San Gabriel Saturday. Mrs.Della Miller entertained Mr., and Mrs.B.M.Selover and daughter, at dinner Sunday in honor of Mrs.Selover's birthday. Miss Ann Marie Cole was an out of town visitor over the week-end. Brea News Items BREA, April 26—(Special) — The Ladies' Aid of the Christian church will serve the C.of C.nest Monday night with a chicken dinner and everything to go with it. Mr. and Mrs.Harrison of Huntington Park were dinner guests at Mr., and Mrs.Arthur Sullifan's last Sunday.Later they all motored to Huntington Beach. Mr. and Mrs.Charles Littlepage of Hamona, San Diego-co, were visitors in Brea last week, at his brother, Jim Bergman and family, and also at his sister's Mrs.Casner, on Madrone-save-later going to Pomona to meet another sister there. Mr.Walter Bergman and a machine load of jolly young people from the Christian church motored to Huntington Beach and enjoyed a weiner bake on the sand last Saturday night. There were more than 200 present to enjoy the program which included a picture show, "A Man Without a Country," a playlet put on by Mrs. Chas Payne, Mrs. Christofferson, Mrs. Ada Lynn, Mrs. Anderson and Mrs. M. A. Bridge. A social hour was spent while delicious refreshments were served. A dance was given in Ley hall Sat.,urday evening under the auspices of Mrs. San Palme and Mrs. G. W. Marlin. There were about 50 present and music was furnished by Mrs. W. G. Cochran, Mr Harry Kendricks and Vernon Olesinger. They are planning to give another in about two weeks.
