Bonds bearing interest at 7 per cent. serially, for nine years will be placed on sale unless the citizens put their foot down on it at a protest meeting which will be held at the city hall May 10th. Representatives of the Marbelite Company of Los Angeles were present, explaining the advantages of marbeliteposts, and plans and specifications submitted by Ben Dupuy, city engineer, calling for a uniform system of marbelite posts of 11-12 feet, with a novelux globe. There will be six lighting posts in each block, and in the business district they will have 400 candle power each, and in the residential districts 250 candle power. The city will care for 20 per cent. of the cost of the intersections, which will leave the cost of the installation of the system at $2 a front foot. When the resolution was passed, each of the trustees drew a deep sigh. "Well, thank God, the ball has started rolling at last," and thus relieved themselves of the incrimination of "old fogles." CHARGES AGAINST CITY ELECTRICIAN Phillip A. Savoy, electrician, before the Fullerton trustees last night, charged incompetency and discrimination on the part of John Critter, city electrician. He declared that Mr. Critter would make inspections of his work and say it was alright one day, and the next declare it was not alright. In return, Mr. Critter charged incompetency and a tendency to disregard the laws of the city on the part of Mr. Savoy. The "city dads" informed Mr. Savoy that the ordinances would be adhered to, but rebuked Mr. Taylor for not having made a complete inspection at first on the wiring in the building whereof Mr. Savoy complained.
