The officers of the Prebyterian Sunday school are very proud of the interest and spirit manifested by the pupils of the school. The monthly report of the school having been completed it was found that two of the boys' classes—one taught by Mr. Wm. Kohlenberger, the other by Mr. S. S. Collins, had tied, in the largest average attendance per Sunday. The same condition existed between two classes of girls, one taught by Mrs. Dabney, the other by Miss Rumsey. This is the fourth consecutive time that both Mr. Collins' class of boys and Miss Rumsey's class of girls have had the record of leading in attendance. The banner for the largest collection per capita, per Sunday was won by Miss Coons' class of boys. All those central classes have fried hard to take, this banner away from Miss Coons' class, they have not succeeded, and this is the sixth consecutive time the banner has been won by them. The officers wish to extend an invitation to all children, not attending Sunday school elsewhere, to join with us in our morning worship. We have classes ranging from tradis roll to home department, so surely we can find a place for any and all who may unite with us. JOINT HOSTESSES AT BRIDGE Mrs. H. E. W. However, Nelson can train down considerably more having put on about 24 pounds since coming to the coast last Sept. Romanoff was to throw Nelson twice in one hour and 15 minutes. He failed to get the second fall in the prescribed time. The wrestlers afforded an interesting entertainment to the crowd of about 100 spectators. Nelson, by reason of his announcement that he plans to make his home in Anahiem and open a gymnasium here, was easily the favorite of the evening, and his ability to stay the limit was very satisfying to the fans. In the preliminary, Farmer Trembling, of El Centro, threw Chief Ortega, of Oxnard, in 28 minutes. This is a "Mothers' Program" and each number on the pro-chief then came back and threw the Farmer in one minute and again in 16 minutes. The Chief was a member of the 364th Supply Co., overseas. He went through the preliminaries for the championship of the 91st division with ease but his outfit was in quarantine when the championship was determined, the title holder being a man whom the chief had perviously vanquished. The chief weighs about 177. The chief challenged Nelson to a match which was accepted and the men will meet here in two or three weeks. Nelson was applauded when he announced he would be glad to meet any man of his weight at any time. Fred Yoern, of Anahiem, was referee Saturday night. Romanoff was also applauded when he said he had wrestled all over the country but never before a better, more courteous bunch of sports. He was anxious to be matched here again.
