ANAHEIM DEFEATS BOWLERS FROM L. B. Bert Myre rolled an average of 127 for five games with his partner, P. Varner, topping a total of 899 pins in the second meeting of a doubles event with Howe and Hunt of Long Beach. The Anaheimers took a lead of 175 for the evening, making a total margin of 136 for the series. In the five-man All-Star event between Anaheim and Long Beach, the locals also looked good, winning two in three games with a margin for total of 40 pins. Avilla, a dalryman. Marla was supposed to proceed to her parents' home at Erie, Pa., but instead went with Avilla to his ranch. The pair claimed that they were married in St. George, Azores islands, but coming over as single persons on the staterun Canopic, they were married again at Newman, Calif. The parents have now written their forgiveness. CHIROPRACTOR ENDS 90-DAY JAIL TERM Dr. H. A. Berge, chiropractor, was a free man again today after serving a three month's sentence in the county jail for practicing his profession without a license from the state medical examiners. Fifteen days were deducted for good behavior. Dr. Berge told authorities he gained seven pounds while in jail. He was considered a trusty by Deputy Sheriff Theo. Tracy and was allowed to do light janitor work outside the jail walls. He also did chores in the kitchen. Dr. Berge spent most of his spare time reading. His family visited him almost daily and frequently the reception was held on the jail steps or on the surrounding lawn. The jail fine was imposed upon Dr. Berge in default of a fine which he refused to pay.
