NEWS FOR HOLDERS OF HEFFERN OIL STOCK
Here is good news for stockholders of the Heffern Oil Co.
The Fullerton Oil Co. is putting down a well on land belonging to the Anaheim Union Water Co. This well is not more than 100 yards from the northeast line of the lease where Heffern No. 2 is being drilled.
The Fullerton company well is now down 3800 feet and was cemented at 3560 feet, a water job being obtained. This well is most promising and it is expected that good oil sand will be reached at about 4500 feet. The company will put in a 6-inch pipe to 4100 and then seek to go into the oil sand with a smaller pipe.
The Fullerton well is in shale with both gas and oil showing and there is every reason to expect it will be a good producer.
Heffern No. 2 is now down 1941 feet and is just now in hard sand. There were some small showings of gas and oil at 1800 feet and the hole is being made as fast as possible.
