Saturday, February 26, 1921 West Coast WEST COAST, Feb. 26. (Special) Mr. and Mrs. Frank Boulger of West Coast entertained at dinner last Friday, Mrs. J. T. Wootan, of San Gabriel, and Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Wootan from New York City, N.Y. Mrs. Boulger's brother, J. B. Wootan, and wife will remain here for several weeks visiting different relatives, including his mother, Mrs. M. C. Wootan. Rev Kent's baby is reported as being on the sick list. Mrs. W. J. Grable, wife and son, with friends, visited the Orange show at San Bernardino last Friday evening. A good many on the tease are suffering from one thing or another. The floral pieces were exquisite. It was a large funeral. Mr. and Mrs. M. P. Shoemaker and two children have moved into the Woods' home on Olinda-blyd. They are recently from Coalinga. Mrs. Agnes Campbell of La Habra spent Thursday night with friends on West Coast. She attended the meeting being held at the Nazarene Pilgrim church of Olinda, returning home Friday morning. Mr. Jack Gauldin and wife were Anaheim visitors last Wednesday evening and attended the show. Mrs. J. E. Robertson and son Miron were Brea visitors Wednesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. Steck on North Orange-st. Mrs. M. C. Ryan of West Coast left Friday for Catalina, with her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Curt Smith, of Youngstown, Ohio, for several days outing and a pleasant trip. Mrs. M. C. Ryan and mother, Mrs. Smith, attended Mrs. Aveary's funeral at Montebello last Wednesday. She was buried in the Odd Fellows' cemetery, Los Angeles. Mr. and Mrs. Lou Edmund and daughter, Louise, were visitors at the home of his mother, Mrs. Susie Edmunds, of Placentia, last Wednesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. F. T. Almond-ave, Orange, and the car or Harry Fellinge of Anaheim collided at the corner of Lemon and West Broadway about 9:30 a.m. today. Mr. Jenkins received several scratches and his wife and Mrs. Peterson of Anaheim who were in the car were badly shook up and slightly hurt. Both cars were badly damaged. CHILDREN'S PARTY AT WOMAN'S CLUB BUENA PARK, Feb. 26. (Special) The Woman's Club met Thursday at the home of Mrs. James Bishop with Mrs. Bishop and Mrs. George Thomas as hostesses. There were 19 members present. Mrs. Moalot and Mrs. Dan Williams were accepted as new members of the club. The entertainment committee decided that a children's party would be held on March 9th which will be the 22nd birthday of the club which was formerly the Ladies' Mutual Aid Society. All members and their family are invited and all must be dressed as children. A program will be arranged and refreshments served. The next meeting will be held on March 24th instead of March 10th at the home of Mrs. E. E. Thurman. Delicious refreshments of brick ice cream and waters were served by the hostesses. David Allen has accepted a position with the Standard Oil at the Northam Pumping Station. Mr. L. Sophia has purchased a four room house from Mr. Hagin and moved it on his ranch. The Ladies Aid of the Congregational church will hold a rummage sale on March 19th. Any person having any old clothes, pictures, odd pieces of furniture or any thing that is not in use, can leave the same with Mrs. C. L. Knight or Mrs. Sam Little. (Special) The Brea people made a good showing at the Fullerton Christian church prayer meeting and also at the baptismal services. There were five from Brea in the church, two from Fullerton church.
