Drilling started on Page No. 1 the Amalgamated's new well, in the Richfield district the beginning of the week.
Drilling at the Bixby Ranch Syndicate well is now at 3275 feet. At this depth the water sand struck at 2200 feet continues.
The United Oil Co. is making splendid progress on the recovering and getting the Clark Oil Co.'s Wet-sell well into shape again. Redrilling is now at 3200 feet, and it will be only a short time when the original depth of 4100 feet will be reached and the well put on down into the deep oil sands that have made the Kruemer 2 property famous.
Brown No. 1 was the new well of the week for the Gnral Petroleum. This new well is located in the Yorba-Linda group and is 400 feet in the conglomerate. The formation shows a nice brown shale with out new oil showings as yet.

The Long Beach Consolidated Oil Co. is having success drilling south of Richfield. No. 1 is now drilling in the shale.
Drilling at 3275 feet the Olive Petroleum Co. struck a hearing sand that keeps coming up into the pipe and deplaying the drilling. As the well is showing some oil and considerable gas the delay is annoying to say the least. However, it is believed that continued bailing will relieve the situation.
The Orange County Petroleum Co. is making good progress drilling its wild cat at Orange County Park. The formation is shale making nice drilling.
Drilling at the Placentia-Pacific Oil Co.'s No. 1 is now at 2675 feet. At this depth the formation is a hard conglomerate. The strong gas showing struck at 2500 continues, and also colors of oil.
