City Briefs Mrs. William Gebert, of Fullerton, is at the local hospital. J. W. Gorman, of Los Angeles, is at the Anaheim hospital. Mr. and Mrs. J. Baker were Los Angeles visitors Saturday. M. A. Terry, of La Habra, is at the Anaheim hospital for treatment. E. B. Moody, of Huntington Beach, is a patient at the Anaheim hospital. A. D. Sundoval, of Garden Grove, is a patient at the Anaheim hospital. F. C. Clouger, of Placentia, is among the patients registered at the Anaheim hospital. Mr. and Mrs. William Martin, of Santa Ana, were the Sunday guests of Anaheim relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Cohen and baby spent Sunday in Los Angeles visiting the parents of both. Mrs. R. E. Campbell, of Zeyn-st, will be hostess tomorrow afternoon to the members of the Merry Few club. Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Brus and Miss Betty Brus motored to Orange-co park yesterday. Mrs. D. Rosenberger, of Los Angeles, was the recent guest at the home of Mrs. A. Henry. Mr. L. Goble, of E. Broadway, who has been ill at her home for over a week, is convalescing and able to be up. Mr. and Mrs. E. P. Fergus and son, Donald, spent Sunday in Riverside, where they were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Chase. Rev. and Mrs. F. W. Mitchell and son, Herbert, of Los Angeles, spent Saturday in Anaheim, where they were visiting numerous friends. Mrs. B. H. Sidnam and Mrs. W. B. Holland entertained informally this afternoon for a group of friends at the home of Mrs. Sidnam. Miss Dorothy Garrison, of E. Chartres-st, is entertaining this evening with a valentine party for the pleasure of a number of intimate friends. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tausch and Mr. and Mrs. A. Nowotny were Sunday visitors in Fullerton and while there they had the pleasure of attending the ball game. Borich, of Dallas, Texas, who is spending the winter in Monrovia, was the guest yesterday at the home of his relatives, Mr. and Mrs. L. Gooble, of N. Broadway. Mr. and Mrs. Martin McCarthy, of Watertown, S. D., who are house guests of Dr. and Mrs C. S. O'Toole, with Mrs. O'Toole, motored to San Diego for the week-end. Mrs. F. B. Kern will go to Los Angeles Wednesday to attend the program given by the oration class of U. S. C., of which Miss Faye Kern is a member, and will take part on the program. Mrs. R. B. Pember, Miss Valle Pember, Miss Viola Muckenthaler, Messra Fred Hayes and Lloyd Schrode motorized to Silverado mines yesterday, taking their lunch and spending a delightful day. Mr. and Mrs. M. Terry and Mrs. Terence father, Wm. Daggett, of St Johns, who is spending the winter here, were among those from Anaheim who attended the tourist picnic Saturday at Orange-co park. Mr. and Mrs. B. J. Brown, of North Lemon-st, entertained as dinner guests yesterday Mr. and Mrs. Kessler, daughter Mildred, and son Stanley; Miss Dorothy Vernon, of Los Angeles, and Mrs. Elizabeth Fellows, of Anaheim. Miss Anita Herzler, of the County-rd, entertained Saturday evening with a valentine party, having as her guests a few intimate friends. Dunton were the week-end guests of Mrs. Dunton's mother, Mrs. Florence Matthews, of Los Angeles. Hageman, of Adrain, Mich., who is spending the winter in California, arrived-in this city Sunday and is the guest for a few days in the E. B. Johnson home, 233 S. Trapp, Jr. In the afternoon, Mr. and Mrs. Trapp and children and Mr. and Mrs. Rogers enjoyed a motor trip on the boulevards about Anaheim. The many friends of Mrs. B. Lawrence, of the Ball-rd, will be pleased to learn that she is recovering nicely from her recent operation. Mrs. Lawrence has been a patient in the White hospital in Los Angeles, but expects to be moved to her home the latter part of this week. Miss L. Raymond, Mrs. Gggeg and Mrs. Ashley, of Los Angeles, were in Anaheim Thursday afternoon to attend the missionary meeting of the Presbyterian church, which was held at the home of Mrs. W.M. Wickett, on E. Broadway. The occasion was the annual opening of mite boxes of the society. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Yorba, who have been living in this city, are moving today to their new home on the Yorba ranch, where they will be at home to their many friends in the future. Mr. and Mrs. George Wents, who have been living on the ranch are moving today also and will make their future home in Anaheim. The J. E. Strops moved last Thursday into their new home at 630 N. Zeyn-st from 500 E. Sycamore. The new home is a modern eight-room bungalow and fitted up with all the modern conveniences that master builders know so well how to put into a home of the present day. "The ornaments of a home are the guests who frequent it," and Mr. and Mrs. Stroup will be at home to their many friends in the new home after Feb. 22.
