GARDEN GROVE FOLKS ATTEND CLUB MEET
GARDEN GROVE, Feb. 3—Mrs. C. C. Violett, Mrs. Edward Dozier, Mrs. C. Goodwin, Mrs. George Royburn and Miss Mable Woodworth attended the Ebell club meeting in Santa Ana Monday afternoon. Mrs. Elizabeth Fairchild, Mrs. Walter Baatian and Mrs. Margaret Gunther were taken in as new members from Garden rove.
Ernest Fulson has purchased the two lots north of the Fulson grocery store from T. C. Wilkerson of Arlington.
Mr. and Mrs. Jean D. Bernard have purchased the Fulwider fruit and vegetable stand. Tuesday, and they will take possession on February 7. Mr. Fulwider will continue in the local transfer business.
Friday evening a number of neighbors and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Eudaley gathered at their home and gave them a jolly farewell party before their departure for Idaho.
Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Beardsley and family, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Blissett and family, Mr. and Mrs. E. Beardsley and family and Mr. and Mrs. George Stowell of Elgin, Illinois, attended the Kansas picnic at Long Beach Saturday.
Mrs. G. L. Crane and relatives and friends of Santa Ana and here, motored to Long Beach Saturday evening and attended a surprise birthday party in honor of her daughter, Mrs. Milo Harris. About twelve of Mr. and Mrs. Harris' Long Beach friends were also present.
Mr. and Mrs. Soule Oerly and baby motored to Los Angeles Friday and spent the day.
Roy Eudaley and Jesse Garr left by machine for Idaho, Saturday, Mrs. Eudaley and two children will leave Wednesday by train to join them.
The Eudaleys expect to purchase a ranch and locate there.
Mrs. H. Rossman, of National City, is visiting for several weeks with Mrs. Amy Graves, Mrs. Rossman and Mrs. Graves are cousins.
Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Chilson spent Saturday at Long Beach.
Mrs. S. S. Jackson and little granddaughter, Virginia Cain, spent Thursday and Friday visiting relatives in Los Angeles.
Miss Mildred Harper, who is now employed in Los Angeles, spent Sunday with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Walter Harper.
Mrs. Shavvy, who has been living in the Price apartments for several months, has moved into her new home, which was recently built on coco-last.
Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Stillens and family, accompanied by the Mateer slaters of Santa Ana, motored to Camp Baldy Sunday and spent the day.
Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Brown and family, accompanied by their guests, Mrs. J. W. Sitton and Mrs. A. R. Helme, visited relatives in Long Beach Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Heckman and children, of Whittler, were Sunday guests at the W.A.Wheeler home.
P.C.Thompson and family motored to Highlands Saturday and visited over Sunday at the home of Mr Thompson's mother.

BITMA. Feb. 2—Special: A jolly party of young ladies consisting of Misses Irma Phegley, Marylee Hilley, Stella Swap, Vasper and Lueille Ball, motored to Huntington Beach to visit Mrs. Grace Griggs last Saturday. They report having had a grand visit.
A jolly bunch of the fair young ladies of Brea had the pleasure of seeing "Daddling" Saturday night in Los Angeles. The party included Hazel and Edna Lark, Miss Huth Yaeger, Miss Ethel Powell, Miss Helen Henningan, and Miss Hazel Lark acting as chaperon.
The regular United missionary meeting met at Mrs. Schweitzer's home on Madrone-nye, Wednesday.
The Ladies' Aid of the Christian church served luncheon of creamed chickens and Waffles Friday noon. Every one was happy who attended.
Oh, My! How Been is reaching out across the country. Monday morning another foundation was laid. Tomorrow, look out for a new house or dwelling, west of Brea on the boulevard, adjoining Laurel Heights.
Miss Frances Swap is very much better. She hopes to be up again soon.
Next Friday night at Mrs. Hilingworth's Bible class and choir practice will unite. She lives on Orange-st.

Mr. Orval Yost, of Denair, is a visitor at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Yost, of Brea canyon. He will remain here for a few weeks.
Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Meredith, 136 Madronc-age, are entertaining her parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Miller, of Pawnee, Neb., and her sister, Mrs. G. R. Johnston, from Wymore, Neb. They are delighted with sunny California.
Mr. and Mrs. James Reynolds, of Brea, were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Skinner, of 4212 Hobart-st, Los Angeles Saturday evening. They had a lovely time.
Mrs. Skinner is a delightful hostess.

Watch for improvements in the little oil town of Brenn., Mr. Brawley, of Walnut-st, is building on the rear of his lot.
Mr. Bruce was taking some pipe home to replenish his heating capacity at his home on Walnut-st.

The appointment of a public utilities committee from the Garden Grove Farm Center to work with the county committee in collecting data from power users in their district, was one of the important features of the Garden Grove center meeting this week.
More than 150 persons were in attendance and the public utilities question was thoroly discussed.The committee appointed to work on the matter consisted of A.A.Schnitger,Milo Allen and J.O.Aarkley.
