WOMEN ENTERTAIN HUSBANDS TUES. EVE.
OLINDA, Jan. 22.—Special—Members of the Woman's Association society entertained their husbands Tuesday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Travers. The evening was spent with a jolly good time and a short program. The program consisted of the scream, "An Old Fashioned School," with Mrs. Ashley Doss as the teacher and pupils were Ashley Doss, Robert Emory, Donal Liddle, William Travers, Sr., Dave Ross, Barnett Scribner and Mesdames Ethel Kent, Ida Rabb and Nellie Ross. "A Bachelor's Dream," with Mr. Ernest Scribner as the bachelor, Mrs. Travers told the dream as a story of his old sweethearts, and as each vision came out in pantomine. The visions were his little school chum—Dorothy Krause. School teacher, Mrs. Doss; Gypse girl, Gladys Conn. A friend with whom he played tennis, Marjorie Travers; university friend, Mrs. Nellin; Red Cross nurse, Marjorie Gale. At last came the bride, taken by Miss Hattie Conn, preceded by the little flower girl, Ruth Emory. Despite the weather a very large crowd was present and all enjoyed an evening of laughter. Freshments of ice cream and cake were served by ladies of the society.
Mrs. Frank Delby is very ill with the flu. It was necessary to have a nurse, and we hope she will soon be improving.

Mrs. D. A. Little and Mrs. Wilfred Kent have been visiting the dentist quite often of late. We understand they have made their last visit for a while.
Mrs. J. O. Conn gave a birthday dinner Thursday evening in honor of Mr. Conn. On account of illness in the family, Mrs. F.A.Cooper was the only guests. Birthdays are coming quite often on our lease this month.

MARKET DOESN'T WORRY CAR BUYER
"The new buyer is about the only one who is sure of present market conditions," says W. L. Lowe, of the Chandler and Cleveland service station.
"The man who owns a car knows that wherever the car may be, his investment does not depreciate as long as the car is giving satisfactory service. He is not interested in any fluctuation in price.
"He knows that if he wants a new car, or a different car, the value of his car as a 'trade-in' is not in any degree affected by the price of the new car. So the season's automobile owner is happily indifferent to the matter of price which seems sometimes to the buyer to be an item of solemn importance.
"I believe that an understanding of this is becoming more general among the army of prospects who are postponing from day to day the acquisition of the automobile which they have long desired to own, and I am confident that as soon as a clear understanding of this principle of automobile merchandising reaches the public generally, no one will hesitate to buy an automobile.
"As a matter of fact, it seems impossible to conceive of any further reductions, but the outstanding idea so well known to those familiar with automobiles is that the price really doesn't make any difference, for the man who buys an automobile never expects to be without one. And his first investment, after a fashion, pays his dues in the big lodge and puts him in a position at any time thereafter to have any car that he may want under conditions that make him practically independent of the market."
