GROVE GARDEN GROVE, Jan. 19.—The third meeting of the ranchers and business men interested in the organization of a local oil company was held at the First National bank Tuesday evening. It was voted to organize a local company to be known as the Garden Grove Petroleum company. The following directors were elected at this meeting: Edward Chaffee, W. M. Adland, F. M. Reafanyder, F. L. Woodhouse, J. M. Woodworth, Vernon King, and C. G. Crooby. Officers for the new organization are as follows: Edward Chaffee, president; C. G. Crooby, vice-president; W. M. Adland, secretary, and J. It is the aim of the company to begin actual drilling operation within the next ninety days. A subscription paper for stock in the proposed new bank for Garden Grove is being circulated in this territory this week. The stock is being offered at $110 per share.
