SCHOOL CHILDREN ASK NEW BUILDING
BREA. Jan. 12—Special—Next Friday will be great day in Brea. Don't fail to see the school parade at 4 p.m. A new school building is needed badly. The present building is too small to accommodate the 420 pupils at the present time. The next fellow who comes along will only be able to peep in let alone find standing room. Now, to you, Mr. Voter, don't fail to realize the need of a new school building. Be sure to be on hands Saturday, the 15th, to cast your vote favorably, at the Brea school house without fail.
There was a big turn out of the Brea ladies last Friday afternoon at the Ebell Club, Fullerton. Mrs. Weirick, of Los Angeles, was the principal appacher, and spoke in behalf of the Big Sisters' League. Mr. J. E. Reynolds, of 140 Walnut-st, has been beautifying his lot.
Last Sunday a jolly party consisting of Mr. Walter Simmons, wife and daughter, Mr. J. O. Drake, wife and children motored to Hollywood hills where they spread their lunch. They returned via Griffith park to Los Angeles and stopped over to take in the show at the Hippodrome before returning home.
Mr. Smith's son, on Flower-st, was injured while cranking his Ford last Sunday.
Mr. Merrifield, wife and children motored to Riverside uSnday afternoon to visit Mrs. Richards.
