PRESENT PROGRAM AT P.-T. A. MEETING GARDEN GROVE, Jan. — The Parnt-teachers Assn held their regular monthly meeting in the Garden Grove school auditorium Thursday afternoon. A program was given by the seventh and eighth grades. Miss Agnita Wheeler entertained a large number of her girl friends with a New Year's party last Thursday afternoon. Indoor and outdoor games were played, and Victrola music enjoyed. A large Christmas tree was placed on the lawn and pictures of the kiddies taken by the trine. Refreshments of pink and white brick ice cream and marble and cognut cake were served. Those present were: Jewel Grig, Velma King, Myra Lake, Frances Fry, Margerite Reafender, Winifred Schneider, Frances Deck, Marjorie Launder, Ethel Launder, Maxino Urwick, Polla Gilbreath, Evelyn Launder, Elvian Land, Marle Marsh, Elenora Winner, Elizabeth Heckman, of Whitier and Ibe Little hostess, Agnita Wheeler. Miss Mary and Eunice Collins entertained a number of their friends at a New Year's party Friday evening. Games and music were enjoyed during the evening. One feature of the evening was an old-fashioned taffy pull. The guests stayed to see the old year out and welcome the New Year. Before the guests departed, refreshments of sandwiches, cake and cocoa were served. Those present were: Rodney and Viola Collins, Elise Elizabeth and John Smith, Mary and Lee Hoff, Eula and Zula Hapex, Neva and Wilmus Ward and Elima Holmes, of Santa Anna. Miss Jennie Hedstrom's class of girls entertained the boys' class of the Baptist church with a banquet and watch night party New Year's eve. In the Baptist church. The banquet was the reward for winning a membership contest between the boys and girls. A very delightful evening was enjoyed by all. Mr. and Mrs. George Fowler, of the Garden Grove hotel, entertain d a number of their guests and friends in a social way New Year's eve. Miss Bessie Luekenbach and Arkle and Johnnie Swarts were visitors at the Watton home Sunday evening and Miss Media was hostess. Mrs. Brigham, of Orange, spent New Year's day with her brother and family, W. C. Watson. Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Cameron entertained Mr. and Mrs. Scott, of Brea Canyon, Sunday evening. Mrs. Sidney Young is spending a few days in Los Angeles this week with her sister, Mrs. Armstrong. Mrs. Boardman, of Placentin, ate New Year's dinner with the W. C. Watson family. Rev Duel and wife, after a week's vacation in San Diego with Mrs. Duel's mother, have returned home. Mr. and Mrs. James Greweco have moved into their new residence on Coyote-drive. Mrs. Williamson, of West Coast, spent Sunday in Los Angeles with her mother, Mrs. Bailey, returning home Monday. Mrs. Heffner made a flying trip to Anaheim Tuesday morning and a business trip to Brea in the afternoon. A jolly party consisting of Mrs. Bergenlanger, daughter, Ruth, Chris McCoy, wife and children, Mrs. A. E. Rathburn and daughter, Gladys, Mr. H. McCoy and Pat McCoy joined by C. H. Keen, wife son and daughter, were visits Tuesday night in Anaheim to see "Don't Lie to Your Wife" at the Grand. Mr. and Mrs. Doss, of Olinda, who had an auto accident a few days ago are slowly improving. Mrs. Doss is a number of their guests and friends in a social way New Year's eve. Consumers are assured that there is an abundance or everyone. The gas is being piped from Huntington Beach and turned into the pipes laid under the county boulevard last year.
