BEANS MOVE UNDER NEW ARRANGEMENT
Beans are moving—orders for 150,000 sacks have been made in the last few days.
This is the result of the organization of a lima bean growers' selling agency, effected a few days ago, when bankers and prominent bean men of the state got together and decided on co-operative action in disposing of last year's crop.
Beans were a drag on the market, and the unsettled condition caused hesitancy on the part of buyers to venture. The representatives met and set a guaranteed price and this had the effect of stabilizing the market and the price. The buyers are now coming forward and placing orders, where before they were afraid to take a chance because of the possibility of growers flooding the markets at prices that would be ruinous to the buyers.
About 90 per cent of the beans un-sold are represented by the selling agency. The price was fixed at $6.75 per pound and this is the quotation accepted by the buyers, who have placed orders for 150,000 sacks, or 215 carloads. This represents about one-fourth of the unsold portion of the crop.
REALTY MEN PLAN NUMBER OF HOUSES
D. W. Anderson and sons have purchased, thru Mr. Anderson's firm, the W. J. Elliott Realty Co., the lot previously owned by Mr. C. E. Holcomb at the corner of Lemon and Alberta sts. The new owners will begin at once the erection of a fine six-room dwelling. It is the intention of these ment to try to help relieve the shortage in housing facilities in Anaheim by building strictly modern, up-to-the-minute houses and placing them on the market at a reasonable figure.

PLAN COUNTRY CLUB FOR FLY CASTERS
The Orange County Bait and Fly Casting Club is now in process of formation, and indications are that it will attract wide interest among local anglers.
The nucleus of the club, comprising Sherman Stevens, T. J. Lewis, George Loggins, J. J. Low and Mr. and Mrs. Vic Walker, gathered at Orange County Park Sunday morning and staged an impromptu fly-casting tournament, much to the interest of early picnic arrivals, who couldn't seem to figure out what the six were doing casting out into the lake despite the warning sign, "No Fishing Here." Low, who is associated with the Standard Oil Company, in Santa Ana, is rated as one of California's best fly-casters, and got a fly out about 75 feet Sunday, altho he was out of practice. Sherm Stevens and Vic Walker, something of experts themselves, made it to about 50 feet.
As soon as the sportsmen find a suitable pond, they plan to erect permanent targets, and open the club membership to all Orange-co people who are interested in fly casting, and anticipate a big membership. Frequent practice will be held, and those interested hope to produce a team to compete in tournaments with Los Angeles and other outside teams.
