SAVAGE TIRE CO. RAISES 'EM FIVE
"The Savage Tire Co. will just add another five to it," said L. S. Chamberlain, Savage Tire manager of this territory, when told that McKeen and Faber, the company's live Anaheim agents, were offering five dollars for a business slogan. So there is a brand new ten dollar gold piece going to someone.
Everybody should try their hand at slogan writing. Its easy and good fun besides. And to the person who wins, well, there's that bright ten dollar gold piece they've got down there in the big safe at their new tire store and vulcanizing works on North Los Angeles-st.
The contest closes the 17th of March—get the date?—St. Patrick's day and it isn't very far away.
So get busy and write down on a piece of plain paper the slogan you suggest, together with your name and address and mail to McKeen & Faber, 119 N. Los Angeles-st, Anaheim.
As soon as the best slogan is selected, the name of the winner and the winning slogan will appear in the Plaindealer.

WHO TREATS YOU RIGHT
In order that there may be no confusion as to just what a slogan is, McKeen & Faber give the following definition: A slogan is a short, catchy sentence, of not over seven words which instantly conveys to the mind the idea of the superior quality of some article or of some unusual service offered or features some particular business.
For example: McKeen & Faber want a business slogan along this line—"McKeen & Faber—The Milage Men," or "McKeen & Faber—Tires—A New Pair or a Repair?" or "McKeen & Faber—Where your Rubber Money Stretches Farthest."
You can beat these slogans. Send your in today.
