The district Epworth League convention will meet in Santa Ana tomorrow evening, in the First Methodist church. Bishop Leonard will speak as will also Dr. Guthrie, National Epworth League secretary. Seven delegates from the Olinda M.E. church Epworth League are going. Mrs. C. C. Robinson of the Columbia lease is still at the bedside of her father, Mr. Geo. Ingram of Anaheim. The Fullerton Union high school will give their annual play in the high school auditorium Friday evening. Rev. and Mrs. H. C. Lewis, formerly of Olinda, now pastor of the Owensmouth M.E. church entertained her sister, Mrs. J.B. Stone last week. Miss Lena Talbot and Miss Bernice Truesdale of Los Angeles spent Sunday with Rev. Kent and family of Olinda. Lyman Bowe of the Santa Fe lease played a cornet solo, also accompanied Prof. Dobbins in one solo at the Victory rally at Sycamore Grove, Los Angeles last Saturday. The Woman's Foreign Missionary society will meet with Mrs. Ferguson of the Olinda lease Thursday, for a social afternoon. Miss Allie Walker of the Columbia lease who has been visiting Mr. and Mrs. John Elliott of San Jacinto, for a few days returned home Monday evening. She reports Mr. Elliott able to get around a little. Miss Freida Williams of the Columbia lease who spent some time with Mrs. Stein of Yorba Linda, is now at home. The entertainment of program and games made the evening a pleasant one for old and young. Light refreshments were served at a late hour and all expressed themselves as having spent a most pleasant time. Rev. and Mrs. J. E. Fisher attended the preachers' meeting at the First M. E. church in Los Angeles Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Scott Beach of Hollywood and Miss May Beach and Albert Koenig visited at the home of R. T. Beach on Orangethorpe-ave Sunday. Misses Hazel and Ethel Thrasher attended the program at Arcadia Saturday, returning to their home in Corona that evening. G. E.
