ANAHEIM—The magic of Halloween will be captured here in a two-day celebration Friday and Saturday, Oct. 31 and Nov. 1.

The 46th annual Halloween Festival, believed by civic leaders to be the largest event of its kind in the nation, will be capped by a 2-hour parade Saturday night down Anaheim Blvd. from La Palma Stadium.
Theme of the festival is "Halloween in Toyland." Grand marshall for the parade will be comedian Buddy Hackett.
Larry Sierk, chamber executive vice president, said the parade will feature 19 floats, 22 bands, 20 equestrians and at least 25 antique cars. It begins at 7:30 p.m. and will be televised.

Disneyland character "Winnie the Pooh" will take over the spotlight as grand marshal of the Kiddie Parade down Lincoln Ave. in the heart of the city at 10 a.m. Friday. Several thousands of costumed elementary school students will march in the procession.

The program gets underway with the Halloween breakfast in Pearson Park from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. Friday. Judging for costumed adults is set for 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.
