Halloween Fete Planned in Anaheim
ANAHEIM—The city's 44th annual Halloween Festival with the theme "Halloween in History and Literature" begins tonight.
Climax of the two-day celebration will come Saturday night at 7:30 when the pageant parade starts in La Palma Stadium and moves south on Anaheim Blvd.

Television and motion picture actor Buddy Eisen will be grand marshal.
The parade of floats more than 20 bands, equiv. strian groups, skits and costumed marchers will proceed down Anaheim Blvd. to Lincoln Ave. and east to the disbanding area at Atchison St.
Opening event today at the costume breakfast open to all, from 7 to 8 a.m. on the parking lot of Lemon and Chartres St.
Marvin Essenmacher president of the Festival Board of Governors, said the breakfast admission charge is 75 cents.

More than 8,000 costumed children from the Anaheim City School District's 22 schools, grade one through six, will participate in the Kiddie Parade at 10:30 a.m. today. Lassie will be grand marshal.
The parade will start at Lincoln Ave. and Philadephia St., move on Lincoln to Anaheim Blvd., on Anaheim to Adele St. and then to Pearson Park.
Judging of window displays, theme interiors and employee costumes will follow the parade.
The festival ball is set for 8:30 p.m. tonight to a.m. Saturday, in the Anaheim Room of the Anaheim Convention Center. The event is for adults.
