An official tabulation of automotive registrations reveals that nearly a quarter of a million more motor vehicles of all types are traveling the streets and highways of California this year than in 1951, according to Robert A. Smith, head of Smith-Golden, Dodge • Plymouth dealership of Glendale.
"A midyear count gave 5,223,573 registrations over 4,902,522 at the comparable period of 1951," Smith said. "The 1952 total included 65,-710 cars and trucks exempt free, while there were 61,403 exempt vehicles in the 1951 total."
