ONTARIO, Oct. 11.—Four-year-old Jummy Cain is near death in San Antonio Community Hospital today because he wanted to go where his little white dog went. JJimmy left his home at 1303 West I street this morning and toddled away with his pet. At Valley Boulevard the dog crossed safely, but Jimmy didn't make it. An automobile driven by George W. Rake of Las Vegas, Nev., struck the boy and threw him off the highway.

Board Urges Vote to Remain in Metropolitan District
LONG BEACH, Oct. 11. - "The issue of Long Beach is depend upon obtaining an additional supply from the Colorado River," the City Water Commission ordered in a formal statement to one of the most forceful documents ever issued by city officials on issue before the voters. John, John Schin-Harry Ross and Secretary Ray Dickinson declared that the city still needs the additional water and that the average water level in wells has been dropping at rate of 2.9 feet per year.
