COMMUNITY CLUB
GUESTS YESTERDAY
Mrs. O. P. Bunyard was hostess yesterday to the Community club at her home west of Anahiem. The meeting was called to order by the vice president, Mrs. Bunyard. Roll call was answered to by sixteen members, three guests and three children. The regular business was discussed with her date for the next meeting being set for December 15 at the home of Mrs. Fuguy. At this time a grab bag will be held with each member putting in a gift not in value over 15 cents.
After the business meeting a short program was enjoyed with Mrs. Abplanalp giving a reading, "When folks Go Wrong;" Mrs. O. P. Bunyard a comic recitation, "Mrs. Smart Learns How to Skate," followed with an account of a dream she recently had. A social time was enjoyed after cards, Refresaments were served, Mrs. Retlicks joint hostess with Mrs. Bunyard, was unable to attend on account of illness.
The guests were Mrs. Donald Grindle, Mrs. Shirley, Mrs. Winklespeck and the members were Mrs. O. P. Bunyard, Mrs. Ablanalp, Mrs. Hattie Willson, Mrs. Chandler, Mrs. Lough, Mrs. Hammond, Mrs. Jahns, Mrs. Kells, Mrs. Dugan, Mrs. Rene, Mrs. Cottas, Mrs. George Peters, Mrs. Kesar, Mrs. Carpenter, Mrs. Luther, Mrs. Quay.

T. SIDNAM - HOME
Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Sidnam were guests last night to the Thursday Evening Pinocchio club at their home on ythian avenue. A delicious 7 o'clock inner was enjoyed which cards the apple; Mrs. Oliver of Imperial Valley, the fig and Mrs. W. A. Wohlford, president of the district, a general talk on fruits of the world and the garden, Mrs. Fitzgerald of San Francisco, guest of the clubs, gave a very interesting toast of the general garden and its uses, bringing in several humorous examples in relation to the Garden of Eden.
Mrs. Garrigues, president of the Balbon club, responded with a toast to the Walnut, and Mrs. John Clarkson of Santa Ana responded with a toast for the Orange County Federated clubs. A final toast of appreciation was given to Santa Ana by the visiting clubs for their charming and gracious hospitality during the three days' conference.
The guest of honor at the banquet was Mrs. John Urechart, president of the Los Angeles district.

ENTERTAIN INFORMALLY
Mr. and Mrs. William Junge were hosts today to an informal dinner when a group of friends and relatives from Wisconsin and Fresno made a surprise visit. Covers were laid for Mr. and Mrs. Jake Rheingans, Mr. and Mrs. Heinen, parents of Mrs. Junge, Miss Flossie Willard, Mrs., Hansen and William Hansen, Jr.

The high scores were taken by Mrs. B. H. Sidnam and Mr.alph Maas. The guests were Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Maas, Mr. and Mrs. Harry T. Hathaway, Mrs. M. E. Canby and S. S. Conklin.
EDERATED CLUBS IN LOSE OF CONFERENCE
The close of the Woman's Federatclubs convention at Santa Ana was marked with a big banquet at the St.ann's Inn last night with more than the hundred and fifty delegates present. Mrs. L. Garrettson, president of the San Diego club district, was toast-tress of the evening. She gave a short talk on the clubs, bringing the subject of toasts of the evening to light, "Sidnam and Eve and the Garden of Eden," bringing in the fruits of the world. The center of the table, to harmonize with the subject of toasts, was graced with a large basket of nuts.

ZION LUTHEREN BAZAAR
A BIG SUCCESS
The bazaar held by the Ladies' Aid of the Zion Lutheren church last night was a success. Booths filled with fancy work sold out quickly. The delicious dinner served by the women was more than satisfying to the hungry person. The bean guessing contests were especially exciting to the young folks. The tickets for the supper and all contests were sold by the young girls of the church. A large amount was made for the new church fund.

Dr. F. H. Essert, national lecturer for the World's Purity Federation, will address three union meetings of the Anaheim churches Sunday, Monday and Tuesday of this coming week.
At 3 o'clock Sunday in the Methodist White Temple a union meeting for men: Subject, "That Boy of Mine."
At 3 o'clock Monday at the Presbyterian church a union meeting for women: Subject, "That Girl of Mine."
At 7:30 o'clock Tuesday evening at the Baptist church a union meeting for both men and women: Subject, "The Responsibility of Parenthood."
The ministers of the city are unanimous in securing Dr. Essert for these special addresses and urge the members and friends of the churches to hear them.
Bishop M. S. Hughes said of these addresses, "The presentation was excellent in taste, startling in fact and efficient in purpose."

MRS. J. P. O'BRIEN ENTERTAINING CLUB
Mrs. J. P. O'Brien pleasantly entertained the B. G. N. Club at her home Tuesday afternoon. The home was very pretty with its bowls of roses and chrysanthemums and the ladies occupied the afternoon by playing five hundred. Mrs. Henry Tuffree won first prize. Mrs. Herbert Sulivan second and Mrs. C. L. McFadden consolation. Light refreshments were served by the hostess and the ladies adjourned to meet in two weeks with Mrs. Cowen.

MR. LUMSDON GIVEN
BIRTHDAY SURPRISE
Thomas Lumsdom was given a delightful surprise last night when a group of friends invited to the home by his wife and sisters, called for the evening. He was presented with a player piano and many other gifts from the family and the guests. The evening was spent with games and music. Late in the night a dainty luncheon was served with a birthday cake being cut. There were ten friends present.

Mrs. Snavely, Mrs. James Stewart and Mrs. Arch Henry, wives of the Loana school trustees, served a delicious luncheon to the corps of west end teachers and the trustees at 1 c'clock today. After the dinner the trustees and teachers conferred on the library and book work of the school.

Color and Furnishings from the Standpoint of the Center of Interest". She
gave some very good ideas in her
talk to the women present, suggesting to them many ways in which they
could make a home more attractive.
She gave several original verses pertaining to the atmosphere of a well
furnished and decorated home. The
kinds of draperies, chairs and many
other interior articles were touched
on by her.
Mrs. Kapp's talk was followed with
two vocal selections by Mrs. Phillips,
accompanied by Mrs. Sprague. Folilowing the program a social hour was
enjoyed with refreshments being
served. There were close to forty
members and guests present. The
next meeting of the Round Table will
be held Wednesday, November 23.
