Thursday, November 17, 1921. Tired Bride Goes To Jail For Stealing Beaver Fur LOS ANGELES, Nov. 17.—She was expensively gowned, a bride of but sixteen days, and appeared a bit tired, so she sat down for a time on the second floor of a fashionable downtown department store. Then she arose, and languidly started to walk out. But a store detective who had been interested in her great fatigue discovered that a $250 mink and beaver fur that had not accompanied her in, was being escorted out. So the detective detained her until Detective Sergeants Yarrow and Mailbeau arrived from Central station. The detectives took her to the city jail, where she gave her name as Mrs. Bertha Sperry, said she was 36, and the wife of Fred Sperry. Before being booked on a charge of grand larceny, it was learned that she had been married November 1. Bring Back Its Natural Color, Gloss and Attractiveness. Common garden sage brewed into a heavy tea with sulphur added, will turn gray, streaked and faded hair beautifully dark and luxuriant. Just a few applications will prove a revelation if your hair is fading, streaked or gray. Mixing the Sage Tea and Sulphur recipe at home, though, is troublesome. An easier way is to get a bottle of Wyeth's Sage and Sulphur Compound at any drug store all ready for use. This is the old-time recipe improved by the addition of other ingredients. While wispy, gray, faded hair is not sinful, we all desire to retain our youthful appearance and attractiveness. By darkening your hair with Wyeth's Sage and Sulphur Compound, no one can tell, because it does it so naturally, so evenly. You just dampen a sponge or soft brush with it and draw this through your hair, taking one small strand at a time; by morning all gray hairs have disappeared, and, after another application or two, your hair becomes beautifully dark, glossy, soft and luxuriant. This preparation is a delightful toilet requisite and is not intended for the cure. OUT A BARGAIN home, half block from all modern for $3500, or big bargains. CLAIRMONT Anaheim Realtor 236 W. EAT LESS MEAT IF BACK HURTS Take a glass of Salts to flush Kidneys if Bladder bothers you—Drink lots of water. Eating meat regularly eventually produces kidney trouble in some form or other, says a well-known authority, because the urie acid in meat excites the kidneys, they become overworked; get sluggish; clog up and cause all sorts of distress, particularly backache and misery in the kidney region; rheumatic twinges, severe headaches, acid stomach, constipation, torpid liver, sleepsiness, bladder and urinary irritation. The moment your back hurts or kidneys aren't acting right, or if bladder bothers you, get about four ounces of Jad Salts from any good pharmacy; take a tablespoonful in a glass of water before breakfast for a few days and your kidneys will then act fine. This famous salts is made from the acid of grapes and lemon juice, combined with lithia, and has been used for generations to flush clogged kidneys and stimulate them to normal activity; also to neutralize the acids in the urine so it no longer irritates, thus ending bladder disorders. Jad Salts cannot injure anyone; makes a delightful effervescent lithium drink which millions of men and women take now and then to keep the kidneys and urinary organs clean, thus avoiding serious kidney disease. —Advertisement.
