MISSOURI MEETS Upwards of 100,000 former residents of Missouri are expected to attend the Missouri centenary celebration at Lincoln Park on Saturday, July 9. Starting with a downtown automobile parade in the morning, the celebration will continue until late at night, closing with a big camp fire event. MISSOURI MEETS Upwards of 100,000 former residents of Missouri are expected to attend the Missouri centenary celebration at Lincoln Park on Saturday, July 9. Starting with a downtown automobile parade in the morning, the celebration will continue until late at night, closing with a big camp fire finale. A program of music, dances, addresses and sports is being prepared and a large number of prizes will be distributed. Much rivalry is said to exist among the St. Louis and Kansas City contingents as to which will be represented by the greatest display of flowers, placards and banners. CYGNET WINS The Cygnet, owned by Ray Smith, took the first in the second heat of the one design sloop race run off at Balboa Saturday afternoon in the Newport Harbor Yacht Club's program for the Frank Smith trophy, making then ten mile course in 48 minutes, 1 1-5 seconds. Cap Sherman's Nigger Boy took second, time 51 seconds, 7 seconds, and Engle Carpenter's Lonce came in third, time 64 seconds. GROCERY SALES. The La Habra school district was named as defendant in a civil action brought in superior court Saturday by Edwards, Wildey and Dixon company of Los Angeles to collect $1,390.32 alleged to be due the plaintiff. According to the complaint, the defendant entered into an agreement September 24, 1920, with the Pemberton Heating and Ventilating company to complete the installation of a heating and ventilating system in the kindergarten and domestic science buildings of the La Habra school.
