Special ... $1.98 JENKS-ROTH NUPTIALS AT REDLANDS Many friends from Anaheim and Fullerton attended the wedding of Miss Ruby Roth of Redlands and Orla Jenks of Fullerton at the home of the bride last night. The ceremony was held in the moonlight. The lawn was arranged with a bower of roses and ferns, some trees. The entrance for bridal party was a bower of palms. The wedding march was heard from the screened porch of the home. Promptly at 8 o'clock the bride and bridegroom entered the gate and took their places before the minister, Rev. Clark of Fullerton. The double ring ceremony was used. Following the wedding luncheon was served, Mr. and Mrs. Jenks left for a honeymoon immediately. On their return they will reside in Fullerton where Mr. Jenks is in business. Miss Roth will be remembered as one of the teachers in the Fullerton schools where she made many friends. FORMER ANAHEIM GIRL ANNOUNCES ENGAGEMENT Many of the friends of Miss Margaret Dick, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Dick formerly of Anaheim now of Glandale will be happy to hear of the announcement of her engagement to Ralph Penland of San Francisco. Saturday night, the Beta Phi Sorority of H.S.C. held its annual banquet at Five Hundred Watny made high Stroup second and Placentia the cone. ATTEND BRIDAL RECEPTION AT MAYWOOD Mr. and Mrs. A.W.Wood attended the bridal reception given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wood at Maywood last night in honor of the marriage of his niece, Miss Elizabeth C.Wood of that city. Mrs Wood became the bride of Paul Wetzel of El Centro yesterday at a quiet ceremony in Los Angeles witnessed only by a few relatives. Many friends and relatives were present at the reception given last night. Afterwards the bride and groom left for a short honeymoon. MRS. Mauer, H. Heying, R. Wilson F. Cline and C. W. Blattner. PRESBYTERIAN CLASS HONORS GRADUATES The graduate members of the Presbyterian Sunday School were honored at the home of Mrs. Wm. T. Wallop yesterday at a dinner served by the Woman's Bible Class of the Sunday School of which Mrs. Wallop is president and Mr. Wckett teacher. The home was beautifully decorated with garden flowers in blue and gold for the Fullerton Junior College and the Anaheim High school. Corlopsus and batchelor buttons with ferns were used. A dainty corsage and button hole boquet was placed at each plate for the guests. Place cards were in the nature of the freshman class pictures of each person and each had the pleasure of finding their place by this means. Favors were miniature diplomas tied CLASS 1920 HAVE REUNION WEDNESDAY The class of 1920 held its annual reunion at the High School last night, where a banquet was served. Decorations of yellow scotch broom and ferns were used with place cards of the same scheme marking the places of the guests. At the close of the dinner the students arose and sang the school song "The Blue and Gold." A short program was presented with the following numbers: Piano solo, Harry Briscoe; vocal solo, Mary Lough, accompanied by Miss Marlon Wallace; trombone solo, Oswald Stock, accompanied by Miss Wallace. This was followed by games and music. Those present were Mises Frieda Heineman, Ruth Omar, Ida Manter, Vesta Newsome, Marlon Wallace, Grace Headstrom, Marjorie Utter, Mildred Spane, Mary Lough, Norma and Leone Schnidler, Blanche Lensing, Midge Hilend, Helen Marburger Thora Baxter, Margaret Billig, Jessie Millken, Messrs. Elmer Rogers, Charles Lake, Al Stiecaman, Clyde Healton, Robert Easton, Kenneth Goddale, Thompson, Harry Briscoe, Alexander Henry, Lloyd Ross, Howard Pannier, Oswald Stock, Alfred and Wilbert Bonny, and Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Clayes. MR. AND MRS. WEST GIVES RECEPTION A reception by Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schneider assisted by Miss Mackey West was tendered last night to Mr. and Mrs. Burr West of Los Angeles, brother of Miss West and Mrs. Schneider. Mr. West and Miss Christine Stineman were quietly married in Misses Bernice Nevins, Myrille Findlay, Hilda Malmsten, Messrs. Harvey Osborn, Allan Crum, Bill Wymore. DOMESTIC SCIENCE HAVE MEETING The Domestic Science section of the Anaheim Ebell Society met yesterday afternoon in the Masonic Temple with Mesdames E. B. Camp, Juan Bandiri, McFarren and "Mills and hostess committee." Plans for a bazaar to be held early in the fall were discussed. A picnic and dance were also arranged for next month to be held at Orange county park. The idea of members giving teas with card games was discussed in order to swell the building fund, and passed. Carnations were sent to Mrs. J. H. Garnett. Elections was held, and Mrs. R. B. Herman was reinstalled as president. Refreshments were served at the close of the afternoon. B. G. N. CLUB GUESTS TUESDAY The B. G. N. Club of Placentia were guests Tuesday p.m. of Mrs. C. W. Blattner. The time was occupied playing Five Hundred. Mrs. Fred Cline scored high, Mrs. Bowen second and Mrs. Wm. Berkenstock received the consolation. Light refreshments were served at the close of the afternoon. Those present were Mesdames Bowen, Mitchell, O'Brien, Sullivan, Percy Bradford, Fred Cline, Mann, Palmer, A. Pierttl, Henry Tuffree, T. McFadden, Wm. Berkenstock. After dinner speeches were given. Miss Jessie Coons on "The Past," "Reminescences of Freshman Days"; Miss Alice White, "The Present," Occasion and the Dignity of Senior Days. Mrs. H. A. Johnston then spoke of the "Future" and each guest opened the diplomas. Before adjourning they all arose and sang the class song "The Recessional" and the school song "The Blue and Gold." The remainder of the evening was spent in music and looking over the annuals of past years. The committee assisting Mrs. Wallop were Miss Margaret Rae and Mesdames C. A. Pearson, A. Nagle, and O. H. Renner. MR. AND MRS. WEST GIVES RECEPTION A reception by Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schneider assisted by Miss Mackey West was tendered last night to Mr. and Mrs. Burr West of Los Angeles, brother of Miss West and Mrs. Schneider. Mr. West and Miss Christine Stineman were quietly married in Los Angeles last Wednesday and stopped on their return from a honeymoon spent in the South. Decorations were in pink with the dinner service carried out in the same scheme. Burr West formerly resided in Anaheim and will be remembered by many business men and young people of Anaheim. P.E.O.MEMBERS ENJOY PICNIC The P.E.O. members and their families enjoyed a chicken supper at Orange county park last night. They met early in the evening in town and motored to the resort. MISS McDANIEL BECOMES BRIDE A quick marriage ceremony was performed Tuesday at the Methodist parsonage when Rev.J.A.Geissinger united Miss Viola McDaniel of Placentia and Ralph Swoap of Brea in marriage. Both young people are well known among the business men and younger sets of the two towns. Immediately following the ceremony Mr. and Mrs.Swoap left for a short honeymoon. Mrs.Lulu McDaniel, mother of the bride, attended the ceremony. RICE-STARR NUPTIALS AT REDLANDS TONIGHT INFORMAL EVENING GIVEN BY MISSES WICKER The Misses Hannah, Gertrude and Anna Wicker entertained a number of school friends at their home last night at an informal party. Dancing and games were enjoyed. At a late hour light refreshments were served. PASSES ON Mrs. Chris Kipp, who has been ill at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs.Seifton, at North and West streets, for the past three months died this morning. She is survived by her father and mother and other relatives. Conferendes with architects who are drawing plans for the new school buildings which are proposed at Orange and bonds for which totaling $160,000 were recently voted were expected to occupy the full time of a called meeting of the local board of education. STANDARD BEARERS HONOR MEMBERS The Standard Bearers of the Method church met at the home of Mrs. George M. Tedwick near Orange for a cafeteria supper at 6:30 last night. The occasion was a farewell to Miss Lucylle Baker, who will leave soon for a northern ranch home, and to Miss Isabelle Strutt. Following the dinner moon light games and music were enjoyed on the lawn. There were 45 members present to bid farewell to their friends.
