BAKING POWDER
It received highest Awards,
World's Pure Food Exposition, Chicago — Paris Exposition, Paris
France—positive proof of its superior merit.
It is used by more housewives, domestic scientists and chefs than any other brand. That would not be the case, if it were possible to secure a higher quality levener.
It is sold at a moderate price. All you have to do is to compare costs to determine how much you can save by buying Calumet.
Pound can of Calumet contains full 16 oz. Some baking powders come in 12 oz. instead of 16 oz. cans. Be sure you get a pound when you want it.

THREE DOLLAR LOT BRINGS A FORTUNE TO LONDON SAILOR
LONDON, June 14.—Captain Albion Jones, D. S. O., sat in his office at the Union Castle Steamship Company and his greatest interest was in seeing that the ship Llan Stephens was properly painted.
In his pocket he had a crumpled ticket on the great Calcutte lottery, which is a gigantic lottery pool gambling on the winner of the Derby at Churchhill Downs.
Excitedly a subordinate rushed unceremoniously into his office.
"Cap'n, please sir,' Umorist wins and you get sixty thousand blinkin' quid."
"Never mind about Humorist," said the Captain. "Is the Llan Stephens painted yet?
That is the story of how the latest British hero, a wearer of the Distinguished Service Order cross received the news that from an investment of $8 he had won a fortune amounting to $300,00.
Captian Albion Jones did not want to buy the ticket. He took is from an ex-sailor who had been in his employ and who, having fallen on hard times, had taken to selling lottery tickets on the Calcutta Sweepstakes on commission.
"I never made a bet in my life before," he said in an interview after he had been informed that he had truly won the wum. "I just took the ticket for fun to help a man out. I forgot..."

AN OLD RECIPE TO DARKEN HAIR
Sage Tea and Sulphur Turns Gray, Faded Hair Dark and Glossy.
Almost everyone knows that Sage Tea and Sulphur properly compounded, brings back the natural color and lustre to the hair when faded, streaked or gray. Years ago the only way to get this mixture was to make it at home, which is musky and troublesome.
Nowadays we simply ask at any drug store for "Wyeth's Sage and Sulphur Compound." You will get a large bottle of this old-time recipe improved by the addition of other ingredients, at very little cost. Everybody uses this preparation now, because no one can possibly tell that you darkened your hair, as it does it so naturally and evenly. You dampen a sponge or soft brush with it and draw, this through your hair, taking one small strand at a time; by morning the gray hair disappears, and after another application or two, your hair becomes beautifully dark, thick and glossy and you look years younger. Wyeth's Sage and Sulphur Compound is a delightful toilet requisite. It is not intended for the cure, mitigation or prevention of disease.
