CHISPA CHAPTER ENTER-TAINS WITH PROGRAM
Chispa chapter, O. E. S., entertained the matrons and patrons of 1921 at a delightful program and social last night in the Masonic hall. The Grand officers present were: Worthy Patron, Roy Musser; Associate Grand Matron Maude Bradley; Associate Grand Conductress Maude Slibley, and sixteen matrons and fifteen patrons of the year 1921. In all there were over two hundred Eastern Star and Masonic representatives present.
The evening was opened by a group of songs by Roscoe Corley with Mrs. Ruth L. Seitz accompanying him. The feature of the evening was the old fashioned album from which Mrs. J. P. Brastad, costumed in all the old fashioned dresses of the maiden of fifty years ago, read. During intermission Mrs. H. O. Henderson sang a group of songs and then the play continued. Roscoe Corley concluded the program with vocal solos.
The characters represented in the old family book were:

Hansen, dressed to suit the part; Mother, Mrs. Fergus, sweet and timid; Father, Asa Squiers, displept and crippled; Aunt Pauliny, Mrs. George Setle, charming as old maids are; Uncle John, G. O. Payne, stern looking; My Good John J. P. Probst, cynical; Little Boy, Harry Henderson, riled and sassy; Little Ann, Mrs. Ray Beat, pale and sickly; Eliza Drake, Mrs. J. A. Clayes, smart alec; Sal, Mrs. F. W. James, ignorant; Jane, Mrs. Evelyn Beat, joy of day, Twins, Ruth and Nancy, Mrs. C. E. Harbeson and Mrs. Walter Ward; Ann, Mrs. Frank Beat, full of fun; Uncle Jake, L. Dahlman, sour; Johnnie Dill, Dean Hasson, nice boy; Rosie May, Mrs. J. P. Probst, lovely girl; Parson Briggs, George ant; Baby Ted, Joe child.
Following the program and friends adjourned room where they were moments.
TEACHERS QUESTIONS SCHOOL OFFICIALS
The first annual philharmonic honor of the teachers of school by the superintendent members and their wives last night at Orange on the form of a wicker biles loaded with the left town early and for the fire. Then the evening was passed lunch and later car sports and boating well.
Those present were Lou Robertson, Mackey Palm, Vincentia Doyle, Amy Bigelow, Ruth Cook Muriel Faris, Alberta Burgess, all of the Co-Misses Eleanor Parker shaw, Blanchard, Muirma Steadman, Rob Headstrom, and Mrs. of the Broadway school well, Mrs. Clark, Mrs. S. Patterson, Repath, Rudies Blanche Daniels the Junior high school, dent and wife, Mr. and Smith, the board membres and friends, Art and Mrs. Everett Mettington, Paul and Davidence Smith and Marisa Daniels, Henson Faris.

TEACHERS QUESTS OF SCHOOL OFFICIALS
The first annual picnic given in honor of the teachers of the grammar school by the superintendent, board members and their wives was held last night at Orange county park in the form of a winer roast. Automobiles loaded with the merrymakers left town early and found the location for the fire. The early part of the evening was passed at a picnic lunch and later campfire songs, sports and boating were enjoyed.
Those present were Misses Mattle Lou Robertson, Mackey West, Paula Palm, Vincenta Doyle, Emily Keil, Amy Bigelow, Ruth Coons, Meadames Murfel Faris, Alberta Crawford, J. Burgess, all of the Central school. Misses Eleanor Parker, Alice Grimshaw, Blanchard, Munger, Norton, Irma Steadman, Roberts, Jennie Headstrom, and Mrs. Garrison all of the Broadway school; Mr. Maxwell, Mrs. Clark, Mrs. Seward. Misses Patterson, Repath, Renshaw, Mesdames Blanche Daniels and Collins of the Junior high school, the superintendent and wife, Mr. and Mrs. C. C. The Sunshine Philathea class members of the Methodist Sunday school met last night at the home of Mrs. L. E. Sutherland. A short business discussion and the election of officers was held early part of the evening when the following members were placed in office for the ensuing six months: President, Mrs. Adelade Goodson; vice president, Viola Elliott; secretary and treasurer, Florence Hammill.
Following the meeting a social hour was enjoyed and refreshments were served to Mesdames Adelaide Goodson, Liela Campbell, Stafford Sims, Misses Hazel Withee, Carrie Lou Evans, Luna Wellman, Florence Hammill, Margaret Billig, Iela Scale, Sylvia May Dumas, Mabel Duckett.
STAR WHIST CLUB
MEETS FRIDAY
The Star Whist Club will hold its regular meeting Friday, June 17, in the Masonic temple at 2 o'clock, Mrs. S. Lygarger and Mrs. Eva Boyd will hostesses for the afternoon. Every member who can attend is asked to please notify the president.
The gentlemen's night planned for June 15 has been postponed until a date in September.
ENGAGEMENT IS ANNOUNCED
Announcement of the engagement of Miss Lea Atkinson of Los Angeles to Earl E. Smith, cashier of the Golden State National Bank of Anaheim has been announced.
The marriage will take place some time during the coming summer.
JUDGMENT GIVEN
Superior Judge Williams has rendered a judgment of $860 in favor of L. J. Heffner, wholesale tire and auto accessory leader, of this city, and against Isom C. Kenworthy and Joseph L. Nestor, co-partners in a garage business at La Habra.
Heffner sued to collect money which he claimed was due on a promissory note and for goods purchased by the defendants.
