Grand—Alma Rubens in "Thoughtless Women." MAGNOLIA SCHOOL The graduation exercises of the Magnolia school will be held Tuesday evening June 14 at 7:30 p.m. at the school house. The program will consist of original class songs and poems together with three playlets. James Baker will deliver the class address and present diplomas. An appropriate and interesting program will open about three o'clock. The well known picture "The Spirit of '76" will be featured. Charles S. Lamb will sing "The Sword of Bunker Hill," and will lead in the patriotic songs. The speakers will be General Frank C. Prescott, representing the "Sons of the American Revolution"; Miss Harriet Spalding representing the "Daughters of the American Revolution". President Paul W. W. T. ADAMS OWNER ANAHEIM BAKERY W. T. Adams, an Oklahomaian, who has been searching throughout Southern California during the past six months for a business location, returned to Anaheim yesterday for the seventh time and closed a deal with J. C. Hoffman for the New Anaheim Bakery and Restaurant on North Los Angeles street. Mr. Adams, when asked what he thought of Anaheim said: "It's progressiveness and wonderful climate I believe is unsurpassed by any other city." Mr. and Mrs. Hoffman will leave Anaheim during the coming week for a trip to San Diego. BOXING AND WRESTLING MATCHES FRIDAY EVENING HERE Another good boxing and wrestling exhibition will be given at Sparke's ranch on the Garden Grove road Friday night. The main boxing event will be between Ray Neal of San Diego and Dan O'Brien of Los Angeles, the former at 163 pounds and the latter at 178. The main wrestling bout will be between Strangler Louis Nelson of Anaheim and Turk Lajini of Los Angeles. This will be a one-fall contest to a finish. Last Friday, Lajini agreed to throw Nelson in 20 minutes but failed. The finishing contest will be an interesting one. Al Sparke of Anaheim will meet Matt Halkner of Los Angeles in a finish wrestling bout. Other boxing events are Kid Fredericks of Delhi and Nickey Ferin of Los Angeles, and Kid Lea of Santa Ana will meet Young Savalo of Delhi. ASKS PROBATION Paul Welchel, minor, was arraigned this morning before Superior Judge Z. B. West at Santa Ana for burglarizing the Irvine ranch bunkhouse. He pleaded guilty and asked for probation. Hearing on the request for probation was set for Friday. Charged with reckless and negligent driving, and with violating traffic laws providing for turning at an intersection, George Shoebridge, went on trial in the local justice court this morning. The trial is the result of a collision between Shoebridge and Motorcycle Officer O. K. Carr on April 22, on No. Main street, Santa Ana. Carr on his motorcycle, was badly injured and left the hospital only a few weeks ago. -540-That is the Herald Want Ad telephone number. ROTARY CLUB GETTING BEHIND SCOUTS IN ANAHEIM Practically a full attendance of the Rotary Club appeared at the Cherry Blossom for the weekly luncheon today, and an interesting meeting ensued. Leonard Evans, chairman of the Boy Scout committee reported progress in Boy Scout work, and it appears now that the Boy Scout troops in Anaheim will soon take their places among the progressive and active troops in the county. No out of town speawer was secured for this week's meeting, but according to Dr. Houck, president of the Rotary Club, the members will have a good speaker next week, or the week following. They don't call the kings back while they are straining their vocabularies to find other things to call them.
