Packard 6 Coupe and Bob LeFebre Motor Car Co., Packard
The Alexander Garage is one of the biggest in Southern California, covering a floor space of 15,000 feet and having 2 entrances, both 20 feet wide. As you enter you are amazed at the first view. Your attention is first centered on a big garage with no posts to hinder turning around inside or backing up to enter stall, or in turning to enter shop. You are next surprised with the lighting system. Not a dark corner is inside on account of the well arranged sky lights. The elevated hydraulic lubricating pits are nicely arranged for proper inspection of the various parts under the car to be oiled and greased and tightened up. The large roomy work rack is a new design and is concrete underneath with plenty of drain to keep it done in overhauling the bench in the much time wasted forth to shop bench way. A second-hand department with large show windows facing on Los Angeles street and extending 50 feet to the inside of garage with large doors to get in and out, is another nice feature. A stock room is also provided for and ample room for storage of arge auto parts arranged overhead or above the gas station and store room and office.
Rest rooms are provided for in all departments and the offices are well ventilated and arranged conveniently. A beautiful salesroom fronts on Cypress and Los Angeles streets right at the corner of the building proper.

EQUIP VESSELS TO CARRY CITRUS FRUITS
Citrus growers of the county aviced extreme interest in the announcement in Los Angeles that the entire lower decks of the Charles H. Cramp had been refitted with modern refrigeration facilities at an eastern shipyard in order to care for the heavy shipment of citrus fruits now moving by water from the Angel City port.
The vessel, which is owned by the Atlantic Gulf and Pacific Steamship corporation, is due to arrive at San Pedro in June.
The new equipment will give the Charles H. Cramp a carrying capacity of approximately 100 cars of oranges and lemons, or about 40,000 boxes.
Other vessels of the corporation will be equipped with refrigeration facilities, it was stated.
SAN FRANCISCO, Cal., May 31.—Now comes along the strangest thief of all. A pop corn proprietor reported that a person heavily inoculated with the germs of kleptomania made entry into his place of business and removed a motor from the pop corn machine and made his escape. The proprietor is hinting darkly that it may be someone who is attempting to reform the world by stemming the sweeping tide of the pop corn habit.
DOORS TO GET IN AND OUT, IS ANOTHER NICE FEATURE. A STOCK ROOM IS ALSO PROVIDED FOR AND AMOLE ROOM FOR STORAGE OF ARGE AUTO PARTS IS ARRANGED OVERHEAD OR Above THE GAS STATION AND STORE ROOM AND OFFICE.
REST ROOMS ARE PROVIDED FOR IN ALL DEPARTMENTS AND THE OFFICES ARE WELL VENTILATED AND ARRANGED CONveniently. A BEAUTIFUL SALESROOM FRONTS ON CYPRESS AND LOS ANGELES STREETS RIGHT AT THE CORNER OF THE BUILDING PROPER, AND IS SURrounded WITH LARGE SALES WINDOWS WITH ELECTRIC LIGHTS UNDER EACH WINDOW TO THROW LIGHT ON CARS ON DISPLAY. THE OVERHEAD LIGHTING SYSTEM IS INDIRECT AND EFFECTIVE.
THE ONE BIG THING ABOUT THE SALESROOM IS THE DISPLAY OF THE ONLY WHITE ONYX FIRE PLACE IN THIS COUNTRY. THE WHITE STONE IS LAID IN CRAZY QUilt STYLE AND SETS THE BEAUTIFUL LARGE SALESROOM OFF TO ADVANTAGE, A LARGE LITERATURE TABLE, AND THREE BEAUTIFUL LEATHER EASY CHairs AND DIVAN DECORATE THE BALANCE OF THE ROOM, Together With PACKARD AND REO, AND WESTCOTT CARS. COAST ROUTE IS NOW OPEN TO MOTORISTS
SACRAMENTO, May 31.—California's highway coast route is open from San Diego to Eureka, according to the bulletin of the state highway commission. Short detours are necessary between Beatrice and Euroka, but are in good condition.
With the exception of numerous road patches between Livingston and Athlope and the repaving of the desert road south of Bakersfield, the valley highway between Sacramento and Los Angeles is reported in good condition.
The Los Gatos road, as far as Santa Cruz, is closed due to construction under way between Los Gatos and Glenwood, and general county road conditions. The best available route to travel to and from Santa Cruz is via Watsonville.
Between Martinez and Richmond motorists are urged to proceed with caution because of the slide near Valona, which constitutes a dangerous hazard. The roadway is reduced using high grade automobiles. Manager for the Packard and Winton branches in the northern territory and recently with the Marmon Company of Los Angeles. Has always sold high grade cars and will specialize on Packards with the Alexander company. Mr. LeFeber's position with this organization is vice-president and sales manager and will inaugurate a new selling campaign for Packard and Reo in this territory, and has associated with him one of the strongest selling organizations in Southern California. Mr. LeFeber firmly believes that Orange county will prove one of the best territories in the country for the distribution of Packard and Reo cars and that it is only a matter of a very short time when they will lead in their respective fields, and knowing the wonderful resources of this conuty appreciates the fact that the people are ready for cars of better class and of superior design and workmanship, with a name plate on the front of the cars that mean something to the owners.
