AMUSEMENTS IN ANAHEIM Tonight Fairyland—Edith Roberts in "The Unkuown Wife." Four vaudeville acts. Grand—Eileen Percy in "The Blushing Bride." Orange Show, vaudeville, orchestra. Saturday Fairyland—Conway Tearle in "The Road of Ambition." Grand—Buck Jones in "The One-Man Trail." Orange Show—Editors day at Valencia orange show tent. Vaudeville program, orchestra. LADIES HONOR MR. AND MRS. SEEMAN One of the big affairs of the season was held yesterday afternoon in the Evangelical church when the Ladies' Aid members met for their regular meeting, which was followed by an address by Rev. Kraeber to the ladies and to Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Seeman, in whose honor the meeting was held. Mr. and Mrs. Seeman have been married sixty years today. The meeting adjourned and met in the bungalow in the rear of the church where a beautiful arrangement of garden flowers and roses were found on tables and in vases on all sides of the room. Guests of the society in honor of the 60th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Seeman were all the friends of the society. Sixty-five partook of the luncheon served at 4:30 by the following ladies: Miss Whipperman, Mesdames Strichtman, Altnow, and Braunlich. Mr. Zimmerman, as toastmaster, congratulated Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Seeman, speaking especially of their faithful work in the church during their long membership. Others spoke of the good work they have done and honored that they might ELITE SOCIETY GUESTS YESTERDAY Mrs. L. Eden of Los Angeles was hostess yesterday at a luncheon served in honor of the members of the Elite society of this city. The guests motored to the neighboring town in a body. Covers were laid at a large round table for 16 guests with the dainty place cards marking each guest's place. A large bowl of garden flowers centered the table. A delicious four course lunchcon was served. In cards Mrs. R. B. Herman scored high. Mrs. Porter second, and Mrs. H. Schnidler third. Those present were Mesdames Porter, M. Neblung, A. Vall, Dahlmah, McCann, house guest or Mrs. Eden, Neblung, Jr., H. Schnidler, Charles Mann, G. Stock, J. Keizenberger, A. Erickson, L. Kroeger, A. Nowatny, E. Brue, Schnidler, Sr., and R. B. Herman. MRS. DUGAN ENTERTAINED COMMUNITY CLUB The Community Club members of west and south of Anaheim were guests yesterday of Mrs. Jack Dugan at 2610 Atlantic avenue, Long Beach, in her lovely new home recently completed. This was in the form of an all day meeting, the club members motoring to the beach town. Dinner was served in cafeteria style. There were 24 members present, 9 children and 20 guests, making a total of 53 for the delicous dinner. At the meeting, readings and music made up the program and the parilamentarians held a drill practice. MEETING OF BUSINESS WOMEN POSTPONED The meeting of the Business Women's club, which was to be held this evening at the Cherry Blossom, has been postponed until next week. The reason of the change, of date is on account of the rain and also the orange show. Everyone is asked to be present at the next meeting, for a good program has been arranged which will interest all of the girls. The exact time will be published later. About 60 members and friends gathered at an early hour, questioning games and tryouts for the aeroplane department kept the fun at high pitch. During the evening Miss Luna Wellman gave several delightful piano numbers, followed by two amusing local selections by Wade Westlake, Mrs. C. A. McCullah sang with Robert Brown at the piano. Refreshments were served and followed by the grouping of the guests about the piano and singing all of the old time songs. ANAHEIM DELEGATES FOR EBELL CONVENTION The Ebell state convention held at Yosemite will be in session all of next week. The delegates from the Anaheim chapter are Mesdames J. L. Van De Veer and H. C. Downs, who will leave tomorrow evening. Mrs. H. C. Downs will take a part of one of the Indian maidens in the wonderful pageant which will be given during the week. This is one of the prettiest features in California and will be attended by thousands. H. Koenig of Los Angeles is the guest at the Valencia while visiting the orange show and friends. CITY AND COUNTY Marriage licenses issued today were John A. Welbel, 21, and Mary Olds, 19, El Monte; Herbert Olds, 26, El Segundo, and Almina Case, 17, Manhattan; Franklin Berts, 29, and Kathrion Mintener, 25, Los Angeles; Alfred J. Hartman, 21, and Emily Dawley, 18, Seal Beach; John Phillip Young, 21, San Diego, and Rita Mendoza, 21, Gendale. Justice of the Peace J. B. Cox receiver a $10 check this morning from Doreen Kavanaugh, amateur ladies' golf champion of California. Miss Kavanaugh was arrested recently on the Buena Park boulevard by Traffic Officer in S. Warner for speeding. Neither the cop nor the judge were aware of the fact that they had a celebrity-in their presence. Mike Rose, who was arrested recently for displaying a revolver in a threatening manner, appeared before Justice of the Peace Cox Wednesday and pleaded not guilty to the charge. His trial was set for June 9 and ball was fixed at $25. Rose was arrested in Long Beach. Charles C. Carrillo, popular Spanish interpreter at the county courthouse, is the father of a boy, born at his home last night. Miss Ruth Grim returned the early part of the week with her father and mother from the University of California. Her parents motored north to meet her and attend the graduation exercises. Miss Grim has accepted a position at the Gahnall Lumber company for the summer. Today's marriage licenses were: William J. Walsh, 45, and Gwendoling Relle, 31, New York; Elmer Woodward, 24, Orange, and Hazel Kimmell, 17, Santa Ana; Harley Lewis, 32, and Jennie Hardy, 32, Los Angeles; Moritz Feishman, 44, and Beatrice Potter, 28, Los Angeles.
