EPISCOPAL SUNDAY SCHOOLS HAVE RALLY The Episcopal Sunday schools of Orange county will hold a rally on Sunday at St. Michaels church at 3:30 p.m. The children and the teachers of the schools from Orange and Santa Ana will assemble with those from Anaheim in Guild hall at 3 o'clock and will march with their banners into the church. Rev. R. B. Benton of Santa Ana and Rev. George Swan of Pasadena will take part in the service, the latter delivering the address. All parents and friends of the children are invited to the service. ANNUAL PICNIC OF EVANGELICAL SUNDAY SCHOOL The Evangelical Sunday school members left early this morning for Orange County park where they enjoyed a picnic. This is their annual picnic and it was well attended. During the day games, races and ball games are being enjoyed. At noon time a delicious dinner was served with hot drinks and desert provided. Miss Clemmer is to become the bride of James C. Craig of Brea June 17. During the evening games and music were enjoyed and later refreshments were served. Clayes scored high, Mrs. Robert McKee second, and Mrs. Schulte third. Following cards a short social hour was enjoyed. The home was decorated in dainty roses and ferns. The luncheon served the latter part of the afternoon was carried out in the same color scheme. GOLDEN WEST CLUB MEETS Mrs. Elsie Borth entertained yesterday afternoon in honor of the Golden West Club. The rooms were made artistic with dainy Cecil Brunner roses and ferns. Cards were played and Mrs. Wm. Houts scored high with Mrs. E. S. Houts second. Following the games delicious refreshments were served to Mesdames John Cook, W. E. McCann, Jean Adams, W. E. Duckworth, M. Wagner, B. S. Houts, E. Zitzmann, H. Hansen, A. Nowotny, F. H. Harrison. The Cantata followed, its title being "Over the Rainbow," with Leonora McAllister as queen. The orchestra furnished the music. The groups in the cantata were Forrest Children Caught in Shower; Rainbow Queen and Maid of Honor; Queens Heralds, Donald Reed and Herman Schaffer; Sunbeams and Moonbeams; Dewdrops; The Four Winds; The Snowflakes and Forest Spirits; The Artists; and the Fireflies. Each pupil taking part carried out the character in a clever and exact way. Following the cantata a playlett entitled: "A Picked Up Dinner," with Evelyn Karsten, Elton Snavelly and Myra Smith starring brought down the house with applause. The school realized a good sum for the picnic provisions for the following day. Yesterday a large crowd of the patrons and students met in a group and motored to Orange county park and spent the day. Games, races, boating and the wonderful American sport of baseball was enjoyed. The fathers challenged the Loara team to a game and needless to say the fathers were too much for them, but only because they were larger. A wonderful time was spent throughout the day with everyone returning home safe and sound. QUIET MARRIAGE OF ANAHEIM COUPLE The marriage of Miss Evelyn McClure to Harold Percy Aikers both of Anaheim was performed at noon today at the home of Rev. and Mrs. A. B. Markle, Mr. Aikers' mother and grand-mother and Mr. Hucklebride and two children were present with the Rev. Markle who officiated and Mrs. Markle to witness the ceremony. The bride was dressed in a dark traveling suit and hat to match. Immediately following the wedding the couple left with their complete camping apparatus for a five day trip fishing and hiking at Little Bear. On their return they will reside in Anaheim. MISS HOUTS GIVES INFORMAL EVENING Pauline Houts was hostess last night to a group of girl chums at school for a jolly evening together. The time was pleasantly passed with music and games. Late in the night the girls enjoyed luncheon. Those present were Misses Frances and Alberta Wallace, Mareella and Helen Webber, Gertrude Griggs, Virginia McElheny, Bessie Renner. MUSIC SECTION MEETS MONDAY The Music Section of the Anaheim Ebell will hold its regular meeting Monday afternoon at 2:30 at the home of Mrs. H. O. Henderson. "Review of Faust," will be taken and a good program given. An invitation is extended to the Ebell club in general and anyone not having transportation is requested to... FEDERAL TROOPS MAY BE CALLED WASHINGTON, May 14.—President Harding and Secretary of War Weeks today are considering sending federal troops into the embattled districts in West Virginia. Raymond Cross and family of San Jose spent Saturday with Mrs. Elizabeth Fairchilds. Mr. Cross and Mrs. Fairchilds are cousins. Mrs. T. W. Ellis of Villa Park is visiting her sister, Mrs. E. Edmunds. Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Lake and Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Bowers of Santa Ana left Thursday by machine for California Hot Springs, where they will remain until Sunday.
