In compliance with instructions from the board of supervisors County Engineer J. L. McBride is today making preparations for drawing up plans and specifications for two bridges across the Santa Ana river, one at the West Seventeenth street crossing between Santa Ana and Garden Grove and one on a road between Olive and Richfield.

The board of supervisors has appropriated $300 for entertainment and incidental expenses of the picnic to be given Southern California realtors at Orange county park May 28. Real estate operators from as far north as Fresno are expected to attend the picnic.

W. H. Smith of Yorba Linda appeared before Justice of the Peace J. B. Cox this morning and pleaded not guilty to a charge of driving his automobile on the right side of the road on the Yorba Linda boulevard. The complaint was sworn to by William F. Heckert. Heckert claims that Smith tried to pass a car when the road was not unobstructed for the specified distance, and in so doing collided with Heckert's car. The case was set for June 14. W. F. Wellington has been retained to defend Smith.
Marriage licenses were issued today for Samuel Goodall, 32, Owensmouth and Martha Schildemeyer, 31, Orange; Raymond B. Schiliter, 33, San Pedro, and Alexandria Rojas, 33, San Francisco; Blastic Hernandez, 21 and Aurora Riverall, 19, of San Bernardino; William P. Wall, 27, and Ruth R. Smith, 24, of Riverside; Robert Chapple, 21, and Florence Clark, 19, of Los Angeles.
The divorce suit of Darston was Darston, scheduled to be tried before Judge Williams this morning, was continued until May 13, at which time it will be set for trial.

A black Ford sedan, the property of Major W. Driver of 115 West 18th street, Santa Ana, was stolen this morning about 7:30. Mr. Driver had parked the car on Frenca street between 5th and 6th. When he returned twenty minutes later, the car was gone. Descriptions of the car have been telephoned to nearby towns. The license number is 164-888, and all are requested to keep on the lookout for it.
Complaints were issued yesterday against Joe Ojida and George D. Dayton. Ojida, it is charged, refused to send his minor child, Natalie Ojida, to school. Dayton is accused of grand larceny, the complaint stating that he is suspected of having taken household goods from J. N. Isch, up to the value of $50. Albert Tanberg is named as plaintiff.
A complaint against R. F. Gundy, charging him with passing a worthless check, was sworn out yesterday afternoon. A. H. Davis of La Habra, the complaining witness, declares that he cashed a $15 check on the Consolldaled Bank of Elsinore for Gundy, and the check was returned with the statement that Gundy had never had an account there.
