The local Y will receive a percentage of profit from each. The money received from this promotion will be placed in a fund to help needy girls and boys go to summer camp. A marriage license has been issued to Guy B. Daniels of 2024 Olive, and Venie Rosen of 211 Illinois, Anaheim. CENTER ANAHEIM HONOR YOUTH DAY — In observance of the recent Youth Day, groups at the John Marshall School, including Boy and Girl Scouts, Brownies, and Cubs, participated in a flag-raising cermony. Boy Scout Troop 22 officiated under the direction of Scout Richard Canaday. Following the impressive ceremony the groups and adults attending joined in group singing. Mrs. Emma Waxham is the new president, succeeding Mrs. Rita Capurro. Others are Mrs. Cora Johnson, vice-president; Mrs. Adeline Threiner, secretary; Mrs. Maryann Eckmayer, treasurer; and Mrs. Jackie Costello, weight recorder. The TOPS Club has been reorganized with meetings held each Wednesday night at Lincoln Elementary School auditorium at 7:30 p.m. The main purpose of the group is to help each other lose weight by learning together to eat sensibly.
