Merchants Plan Huge Prize Event How would you like to win a trip to Las Vegas for two and stay for one week? and a Metz Imported German built hi-fi radio? and a $200 cash prize? Beginning June 17, each Wednesday for two successive weeks following, gift certificates will be inserted at random through the entire press run of The Bulletin. A participant in the event will make the insertions. These insertions will be made with complete secrecy, but one will know which papers contain the valuable certificates until some lucky reader discovers them in their Wednesday Bulletin. Gift certificates must be presented to the awarding merchant by 5 o'clock Saturday of that same week to be valid, unless claimed within this time limit, the award is void. If the winner has purchased the awarded item prior to this date and after April 1, 1959, and produces a sales slip covering the purchase, a cash equivalent will be refunded. You don't have to be a subscriber to the Bulletin to be eligible for other prizes awarded. Winners names and addresses will appear each week on the gift page. County Proposes Ambulance Co. Rule Tightening SANTA ANA (OCNS) — Administrators and councilmen from 19 County Proposes Ambulance Co. Rule Tightening SANTA ANA (OCNS) — Administrators and councilmen from 19 cities in Orange County met here with county supervisor Claire Nelson to discuss a model ambulance ordinance. Need for such regulations had been cited within recent weeks by the league of cities which noted that only two cities in the county have ambulance ordinances. At Monday's meeting, it was decided to hold another meeting within two weeks with the various ambulance operators throughout the county to get their ideas on a set of practical regulations. After this second meeting, a model ordinance will be submitted for study to the county's 21 city councils. Finally, according to yesterday's plans, the city administrators will meet again to report on their respective council's reactions to the proposed ordinances. Yesterday's discussion centered around the standards that should be set for ambulance drivers, and of equipment that should be carried on these vehicles. In most parts of the county now, the only regulations affecting ambulances are those pertaining to safety, and set by the California Highway Patrol. Current interest in the ambulance situation was triggered off by Frank Whorton, field secretary of the league of cities, when he told his organization in February that one ambulance service was operated by a taxi cab company. Whorton said the cab drivers also serve as ambulance attendants. However, he has since refused to divulge in what part of the county this situation exists. Bids for Agriculture Station Due in L.A.
