Court Order Jails GG Parole Violator GARDEN GROVE — In Orange County Jail today is a 38-year-old Garden Grove woman sentenced to six months for violating parole. Rosemary Doan, 12914 6th St. was jailed by order of the Anaheim Fullerton Municipal Court. The Memphis, Tenn. born waitress was arrested the last day of March. U. S. TAX INCREASES FOR FISCAL '61 SEEN WASHINGTON (UPI)—Budget Director Maurice H. Stans says President Eisenhower's budget for fiscal 1961 is likely to call for two or three billion dollars more in spending than his 1960 proposal. Stans said government costs would be forced up by "built-in uncontrollable increases" in existing programs even if Congress voted no additional spending to the Eisenhower budget for 1960. The President will send the 1961 budget to Congress next January. His narrowly-balanced 1960 budget calls for 77 billion dollars in federal spending for the year starting next July 1. Despite the expected spending increase, Stans held out hope that Eisenhower again would be able to submit a balanced budget next January. He predicted that an expanding economy would push up tax revenues enough to match the predicted "built-in" spending hike. Daylight Thief Sought By Grove Gendarmes GARDEN GROVE — Police today are searching for a man who allegedly took $61.50 in rolled money from a service station in broad daylight. Police said that the money was taken from Mike's Service Station 8511 Garden Grove Blvd. Also taken were 19 single dollar bills, according to police. Sprinkler System Bids Awarded for School Industrial Plastics Company of Santa Ana Tuesday was awarded the contract for furnishing plastic pipe and fittings for a sprinkler system at Madison School. Their low bid was $2,077, excluding taxes. Sprinkler heads, control valves, vacuum breakers and other equipment will be furnished by the J.C. Nees Turf Supply Co. of Los Angeles. Their low bid of $2,597.46 was accepted by the City School, District Board of Trustees last night. The bids had been opened last month but were tabled for study and analysis. Awarding of bids on physical education equipment and instructional supplies for the next school year was tabled because all bidders had not yet submitted all samples requested.
