The colonel was ordered to remain in Tokyo pending an investigation. Airman 2C Robert J. Kindl said here today that "We were all on emergency leave. My son had died. The brother, at the Ft. Campbell, Ky., Hospital, is "going to be all right now." Bell said. S.Sgt. Paul S. Cain said at Sedalia, Mo., he was shocked and surprised to learn the colonel had brushed him. "I went out on the runway and explained the situation to the colonel," he said. By EARNEST HOBERECHT United Press International NEW DELHI (UPI) — The god-like Dalai Lama of Tibet was reported today to have escaped his Chinese Communist pursuers and crossed the border into India. The Chinese Communists said in a Peiping radio broadcast monitored in Tokyo that the young Dalai Lama was accompanied into India by some of the rebels who took part in the fighting at Lhasa, Tibet's capital city, nearly two weeks ago. The Communist report came soon after informed sources in New Delhi reported renewed fighting had broken out between rebels and the Chinese Communists in an area southeast of Lhasa.
