USED NATION-WIDE Science Church Stresses Power Of Truth The healing and redeeming power of truth, God, will be the central theme in the lesson-sermon on "Truth" in all the Christian Science churches on Sunday. A highlight of the sermon is the account of the healing of the epiphytic boy - the only son of his father. After the disciples had failed to heal the case it was called to Jesus' attention. Jesus commanded, "Bring thy son hither." Then, the account continues, "And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the child, and delivered him again to his father." "The utterance of truth is designed to rebuke and destroy error," reads a correlative passage from "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. And later, "Truth is affirmative, and confers harmony By the truthful arguments you employ, and especially by the spirit of Truth and Love which you entertain, you will heal the sick." The golden text for the sermon is from Psalms: "Thy mercy is great above the heavens; and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds. Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; and they glory above all the earth."
