Don't Miss 'Ford Theatre New Evaporated Milk Makes Debut Here What is described as "the first improvement in evaporated milk in more than 50 years" is now being introduced to consumers in Anaheim. The product is Foremost Fresh Tasting Evaporated Milk, the result of years of research and an entirely new sterilizing and canning process. In the old process, evaporated milk is heated in the can for 12 to 18 minutes at a temperature hotter than boiling water. This gives the milk a yellowish color and cooked flavor that is a far cry from the taste of fresh milk. The entire process takes 40 minutes. In the Foremost process, the milk is sterilized before being canned, the entire process taking 5 minutes — eight times faster than the old method. The result is an evaporated milk that tastes much fresher than any other on the market. It is described as "milk and cream quality at canned milk prices."
