Mrs. Frank Walsh will serve as sergeant-at-arms and Mrs. Oliver Redtfeldt, marshal.
Mrs. Webber, retiring president, entertained the group with coffee and sandwiches following the meeting.
Top hats, bow ties and canes decorated the tables of the Masonic Temple last week when the members of the Buena Park Job's Daughters Bethel 219, entertained secret fathers.
The secret fathers found out which of the girls had been sending him gifts and cards during the past six months on appropriate occasions and in return each one gave his young benefactress a gift.
Following a turkey dinner which had been prepared by the guardian council, the group adjourned to the lodge room where Miss Anna Love, honored queen, presided.
Mrs. Tille Ehrle of Anaheim, deputy grand guardian, conducted a school of instruction. Among matters of business taken up, the calendar for the year was arranged.
Ralph Rogers Jr., 5861 Western Ave., has just returned from a trip to Mexico. Accompanying a group of students from Fullerton Union High School, Ralph left from Tijuana on June 21 to fly to Mexico City, via Guadalajara. The students went sightseeing and saw their first bull fight.
They visited Taxco during festival time and enjoyed the burro races and fireworks. On their flight home they visited Guadalajara. Accompanying the group was Miss Esther Pierce, a teacher at Fullerton High School and Mrs. Pearl Phillips and daughter Barbara, mother and sister of one of the students.
Guests in the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Whalen, 8041 Taylor St., are Mrs. E. W. Robinson and her nephew, Robert Walker. Mrs. Robinson is the mother or Mrs. Whalen. Both visitors arrived here from Storrs, Conn., last week.
Mr. and Mrs. George Cole spent several days during last week visiting their son-in-law and daughter, Mr and Mrs. La Warren Barks and three daughters Susan, Diane and Karen in Shell Beach.

Kittens’ Capers Send Sailor to Station Infirmary
LOS ALAMITOS NAVAL AIR STATION (OCNS) — Sailors in the metal shop at Naval Air Station Los Alamitos deal with tough situations every day. They ran into one recently, though, that had the entire crew stumped and that sent one metal-bender to the sick bay.
When Airman Bob Davis began to fire up the steam rack, as he does every day, he was accosted by four small kittens. An animal lover from way back, Bob attempted to pick up the smallest of the four. To his surprise, he was promptly bitten and slashed so badly that he required treatment at the air station’s infirmary.
“If that’s the way you want it,” said Davis on his return, “you can move out of my boiler room.” With the aid of Art Hoppenrath, aviation structural mechanic third class, he constructed a box with a wire meshing and the two determined to trap the kitties and move them to other quarters.
The sailors lost the second round, too. With much spitting and clawing, the cats made their position clear... They liked the boiler room! Davis and Hoppenrath decided they needed reinforcements.
The cats were finally trapped with the help of six other sailors and a pair of long leather welding gloves.
The kittens? They’ve taken over the boiler room at the Orange County Animal Shelter.

Extension of Airport Runway to Be Discussed
FULLERTON (OCNS)—Plans to extend the Fullerton Municipal airport runway long enough to handle twin-engine executive type planes will be discussed city councilmen tonight.
Councilmen will consider exercising options on several acres of land east of the present runway, which ends at Magnolia avenue.
The options are on three acres owned by Missionary Aviation Fellowship and on two privately-owned residential lots.
Officials explained plans call for the extension of the runway an addition 700 feet east of Magnolia avenue. The runway is now approximately 2,100 feet long.
