Stewart, a seasoned personality in theater, returning to Playbox for her third year, as she appeared on the central stage. In the role of Madame Arcati, the small vigorous, enthusiastic, odd and confident medium, never at loss for words, and one who prides herself on her powers to bring into the material world the ghost of those who have gone beyond, Wilmot Stewart moves through the play with expertness. Her main achievement is realized as Elvira, the first wife of Charles Condomines, played by Cathy Browne, "floats in." Cathy Browne, also in her third season at Playbox, this year as co-producer with her husband, Sherwood Price, as well as actress, deserves the finest of commendations for her opening night performance in "Blithe Spirit" as the illusive ghost of the first Mrs. Condomines.
