RADIO and TELEVISION TOM DANSON'S ... TV-RADIOLOGIC THURSDAY, JUNE 17—Radio will get the biggest play tonight at 7 o'clock when the radio exclusive of ABC radio net carries the blow-by-blow description of the World's Heavyweight Championship Fight from Yankee Stadium, between Rocky Marciano, the present title holder, and challenger Ezzard Charles. The 15-round title bout between Marciano, the Brockton Block Buster, and Charles, the sleek boxer-puncher from Cincinnati, WILL NOT BE TELECAST! Preceding the broadcast, Bill Stern will present highlights of the colorful weighing-in ceremonies along with interviews with sports figures, managers and boxing officials. This starts at 7:15 p.m., and immediately following the bout, which will be aired to conclusion, Stern will interview Tony Galento for his comment on the bout. He will also recap the fracas. TOM DANSON DIAL KABC for this important event... Back to television now for an exciting drama in the "Justice" series over Channel 4 at 8:30. James Barton was supposed to have played the lead in "The Eight Allen Boys" but at the last minute came down with laryngitis.
