Members of Buena Park Women's Club Honored at Mother's Day Tea BUENA PARK—Mothers and members of the Buena Park Women's Club were honored when the Junior Membership of the club held their annual Mother's Day Tea last week. Entertainment was provided by the Junior Membership of the La Habra Women's Club. The variety show they gave had pantomines, dances and songs. Those participating were Mmes. Glenn Cota, Robert Hartsock, John Jordon, Arthur McNeill John Senor, Ralph Pallette, James Rust Henry Howard, William B. Millgrand and Raymond Whitmore. Miss Betty Jo Mittman of Buena Park played two accordion solos. Her selections were "Donkey Serenade" and "Jolly Caballero." Mrs. A. R. Berlin, presented a piano music interlude. Among the selections Mrs. Berlin played were "May-Night," "Opus 27," "Summerland," and "Swan." Mrs. G. Hinds was winner of the door prize. Honored guests were introduced by Mrs. Don Whitford They were Mmes. C. C. Rittenhouse, president of the Buena Park Women's Club; Mrs. Pernel Barnett, president-elect of the local club; Mrs. Robert Stine, president of the Junior Membership; Mrs. Donald Smith, president-elect of the Junior Membership; Mrs. John Redmon, chairman of the Garden Section; Mrs. Paul Kroesen, chairman of the Junior Matron Section; Mrs. Leon T. Wilsey, advisor to the Junior Membership; Mrs. Erwin Nickle, junior advisor to the Junior Membership; Mrs. Minnie Stephens, junior advisor-elect of the Junior Membership; Mrs. Carl Kounta, county Red Cross chairman and Mrs. Desie Rodabaugh, county Civil Defense chairman. A road sign with the General Federation of Women's Clubs insignia was presented to Mr. S. Buena Park Lions Club Elects New Officers BUENA PARK — James Harris was elected to serve as president of the Buena Park Lions Club last week when club members met in the Indian Room of Knott's Berry Farm. Elected to serve with Harris were Bob Thompson, vice president; Phil White, secretaire; Charles Stevens, treasurer; Robeert Perigan, Lion tamer, and V. L. Stephens, tail twister. Jim Meoders and Ray Wingert will serve on the board of directors for two years and Joe Showalter and Jesse Davis are the carry-over board members from last year. Installation of new officers will be held June 19 at the Huntington Beach Country Club. Leavitt Ford of Anaheim will act as installing officer. The installation will be a dinner dance affair. Final arrangements were made for the trip club members made to the Kaiser steel mill in Fontana yesterday. It was reported that the broom sales still in progress and sales are very good. Several Lion members have started work on the club's project of installings at the Recreation Park. On Saturday, May 15, 204 feet of sewer pipe was laid as the beginning of the work. North Mary Jane Battaglia The Card-ettes Bridge Club its regular bi-monthly meeting week in the home of Mrs. R O'Donnell of 711 North Ju Place. Mrs. Dennis Mosgrove North Juniper Place, was co-tess of the event. At the conclusion of the ning's card games, Mrs. D Weaver of Santa Ana was awarded the prize for high score consolation prize was received Miss Beverly Leach, also of Ana. The hostesses then served food cake topped with strawies and whipped cream and coffee to the following: M Wendell Porter, Ms B Dwayne Weaver, Calvin B Milton Andrews, Ofhe S Virgil Pack and Miss Be Leach, all of Santa Ana, Mmes. John King and Bud H Costa Mesa. Mrs. Weaver's merit from Hollywood was at the function. The next meeting of the s will be held in the home of Bartell on Catalina street. Weaver will act as co-hostes. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Host of 638 North Hawthorne St., Tuesday, May 25, to drive to land, where they are planning purchase a new home. Mrs. stetter's parents, Mr. and Mr B. Fowles of San Bernardino taking care of the Host daughters, Carol and Joan, the couple's reurn this weekend. She was assisted by Mmes. Berlin, Wayne Blackford, Arthur Brewer, Dale Hull and Don P. Taylor. Mrs. Rittenhouse and Mrs. Barnett sat at the lace covered table to pour. Pink carnation centered the table. Beautifully decorated sheet cake was served with coffee, tea, nuts and candies. Webelos Ceremony Will Mark Stanton Cub Scout Meeting STANTON — Webelos ceremony will be conducted in addition to presentation of Cub Scout awards whom Cub Pack No. 110 meets Friday evening at the Lions clubhouse. Program will also include den skits following the month's theme, "Showboat." Activities will be under the guidance of Cubmaster James Allen. Mrs. H. D. Dixson assisted Mrs. Reed in the event. Mrs. K. V. Suhr, immediate past president of the PTA, was in charge of the ham dinner which was enjoyed by all. A cake walk was held for all children and adults. A great deal of interest was shown in the game booths and all booths are reported to have sold out before the closing hour of the carnival. The pre-school physical examination clinic for Charles McComber school and Lindbergh school, scheduled for June 1, has been changed to Wednesday, June 9, between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. at the Lindbergh school. Mr. and Mrs. David Rhudy, and daughter, Denise, 7162 Yucca Pl., arrived home Saturday from a two-week vacation. The Rhudys motored to Grand Canyon, Oak Creek Canyon, Ariz., and on to El Paso, Tex., where they visited friends and relatives. They spent a great deal of time with David Rhudy's sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Mathews. Coming home by way of Tuscon, they stopped in San Diego to visit relatives there. Chairmen Named By Church Group The executive board of the Garret Howard Chapter of the Nazareene Foreign Missionary Society met in the home of Mrs. Leon Ferguson of Hoffman street recently for their first business meeting of the new year. Mrs. Jeff Davis, chairman, presided at the meeting and the following members were appointed to act as chairmen for the coming year: Devotional, Mrs. William Howard; Box Work, Mrs. C. E. Denney; Membership, Mrs. Irene Rhodes; Prayer and Pasting, Mrs Walter Allen; Other Sheep, Mrs Loren Killen; Standard of Efficiency, Mrs Herbert Orban; Alabaster Box, Mrs. James McCoy; Music, Mrs. J.
