Mr. and Mrs. Louis Burcher, 107 Crone Ave., entertained Mrs. Bircher's cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Clem Escher, at a dinner Sunday, May 1.
Barbara Kramp, Marie Ann Dargatz and Pat Roberts were among a lucky fivesome that spent Wednesday, May 19, in Los Angeles. They were taken to see a preview of the A.U.H.S. annual at the engravers by Lloyd Ross, the school print shop teacher.
Mrs. Arthur Korn 827 Walnut St. attended a missionary convention at Stockton for the Evangelical United Brethern Church. She spent May 17 to May 20 at the convention.
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Campbell's children, Terry and Linda, spent an enjoyable weekend with their grandparents in Norwalk.
Mr. and Mrs. Andy Stenger and family 71 Pythias, visited with friends in Manhattan Beach on Sunday. Mrs. Anne Grubb Mrs. Stenger's mother also went along.
Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Held, 720 Amstutz, entertained at family barbeque on Sunday for Mrs. Held's nephew, Paul Herner. Attending were his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Herner, and sister Karen, of Covina. Also Sally Maude
Medical Association To Note Anniversary
SANTA ANA — Observance of the 65th anniversary of the founding of the Orange County Medical Association will be June 10 at a dinner at Knott's Berry Farm in Adams, his grandmother. The Sam Adams family, Mrs. Held's brother were also present. Paul Herner is to enter Annapolis Academy on July 1.
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Campbell, 900 Walnut, went to El Monte to visit a church there with a group from their family church.
Bob Bircher, leaving Friday evening with his friend, Verne Granere, enjoyed the wonderful fishing at Lake Henshaw until Saturday evening. As a late report states, Bob and Verne together caught one fish.
Mrs. Howard Wilkinson and Mrs. Louis Bircher today attended the Fourth District PTA meeting at the Os Alamitos Naval Air Station.
On Friday evening, May 1 Mr. and Mrs. Andy Stenger, 71 Pythias had five couples to their home after a team campaign meeting at their church. Mr. and Mrs. Andy Ungrath, and daughter Doris, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Wilson, Mr. and Mrs. George Strachan, Mr. and Mrs. John Carmonne, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Cornbloom were those enjoying coffee and a snack.

The B. R. Montgomery Jr.'s from Long beach have just moved into 118 ocust. They have two children, John $^{1/2}$, and Karen, $^{1/2}$. At present he is employed in ong Beach.
Mr. and Mrs. John Laughlin have recently moved into Laughlin's sister's home at 119 Locust. She is Orange County cerebral palsy victims will benefit from the hour television benefit to be staged in Hollywood starting at 11 p.m. Friday from KABC-TV, Channel Superior Judge Robert Gardner county campaign chairman, nounced today.

Some of the entertainers pleasing their talents for the cerebellar palsy television appeal include Marilyn Maxwell, Margaret Wing, Tex Williams, the Cocoa Grove orchestra of Benny Strover with the vocalizing of Toni Arnold Gussie Moran, the famed tenor player, who will introduce figure from the sports world: Al Jarre the original disc jockey, and P Coates, columnist, who will make reports on activities and will all films.
The entire 18-hour program originate from the stage of Carthay Circle Theater and will produced by Hunt Stromberg The show will end at 5 p.m. Saturday.
Medical Association To Note Anniversary
SANTA' ANA — Observance of the 65th anniversary of the founding of the Orange County Medical Association will be June 10 at a dinner at Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park to honor two pioneer physicians and others who were active in the earlier days.
Founded June 13, 1889, just nine days after the County of Orange was created upon withdrawal from Los Angeles County, the organization had 11 medical doctors as charter members. Four of the 11 charter members had been active in a Lso Angeles County group.
The Founders' Day will particularly honor Dr. Herbert A. Johnston of Fullerton since 1903 a member; and Dr C. C. Violette of Garden Grove, who at 91 years of age is oldest practicing physician.
Among other old-timers who will be honored at Dr. John McAuley of Santa Ana Dr. William H. Wickett Sr. and Dr. Harry E. Zalser, both Fullerton, the latter for years superintendent of the Orange County General Hospital.

The George Preston family from Norwalk have just occupied 832 Aspen. The family includes two children, Robert, 9, and Glenn, 3, and Joseph Waich who is awaiting the arrival of his family., who are to move into one of the new homes also. Preston is employed in Los Angeles.
The H. W. Fielden's are now occupying 838 Aspen. Their family includes three children, Brian, 9, Ronald, 5, and Susan, 1. They have just moved here from Canada.

High school seniors from Aheim were guests at Orange College last week where they were taken on a tour of the campus given an opportunity to talk with faculty members and student leaders.
Groups were formed for the time on the basis of special interest. Those from Anaheim in the field were Billy Dickenson, Bob Hudson, Marilyn Koontz, and Kwiatowski.
Business education majors included Rella Cherry, Kay Fordick Jepsen, Bob Loustau, W Martin, Rosemary Odun Homer Raney, Jerry Schacht. Students interested in English, foreign languages, journalism and spelling were Gene Adams, Bill Baldrue Dorothy Gosnell, Linda Heffler Marie Mitchell, and Pat Santana.
Home Economics and nursing students were Ruth Griggs, O Haderile, Ann Karraker, Pris Lopez, Pat McGuire, Mary donado, and Wilma Rosebeck Those interested in mathematics life science, engineering and sciences included Dave Callahan, Faessel, Pat Halvorsen, Hamilton, Lois Haskins. John and Vernona Oelkers.
Music students were Nora Loetterle, Esther Mata, Ben Ma Social Science students were Collyer, and Jack Pickard. Theology and vocational interests were expressed by Craig Kolon Leonard Many, Gary Matte Frank Moreno, George Nelle Darold Peters, Dean Philpott, nee Roseberry, Hiroshi Shin Chuck Williams and Reese Ween.
Pre-teaching majors were Cohe, Vince Deveney. Curtis Don eigh, Joan Mauerhan, Muraoka, Jerry Nielson.

Attendance Shows Gather At Orange County Fair
SANTA ANA — Attendance Orange County Fair increases per cent during the past years of the showing at the manent fairgrounds on the Santa Ana Army Air Base.
The first show, in 1949, show attendance total of 75,420 and 802 exhibitors displaying 230 tries.
During 1953, the attendance 102,664 and ther were 1762 exhibitors showing 5406 displays.
During the five years, premature award have been increased by 18,867 in 1949 to $32,470 last year.
The National Horse Show, a tergal part of the Fair, adv in importance yearly under oition of Harry Marrell of Gr Grove, until it outranked every California State Fair's Horse according to Fair Board Press Frank V. Crane.
More than 500 animals weretered last year, and more w entered this year because facilities for quartering them be provided.

Kornhuskers Take Numerous Awards At Recent County 4-H Junior Fair
Decision to enter a booth at the Orange County Fair, and reports of the recent 4-H Junior fair highlighted the Monday evening meeting of the Kornhuskers 4-H club of West Anaheim.
Tony Schonoveld was named chairman in charge of arrangements for the fair booth. Junior fair reports were made by Richard Cook, Richard Aden and Sharon Johnson.
Kornhuskers winning ribbon awards at the county-wide junior flair were listed as follows:
Livestock, Sharon Johnson first, Guernsey heifer, second, showman ship; Richard Aden, second, Hereford steer, second, showmanship; Sally Calder, first Southdown sheep; James Calder, first, Suffolk sheep.
Fruit and Vegetables section, Richard Cook first, strawberries.
Sewing; Second phase clothing, Janice Scott, first in judging; Janice Brock, second, judging.
Fourth phase clothing; Clada Pletz, third, judging.
Second unit cooking; Janice Brock, second, judging; Janice Scott, second judging; and Clada Pletz, second, judging.
Sally and James Calder staged were guests, Tuesday evening, at Cypress-Magnolia Farm Center meeting, where they staged their award-winning demonstrations. "Cheese to Please", single by Clauda Pletz, and "Eating the Whole Orange" by Lynna Ann Pletz and Sharon Johnson.
The trio will compete in a regional meet at Mt. San Antonio June 5. Winners to compete at the state level.
Opening rituals of Monday nights 4-H meeting were led by Billy Holler and Richard Cook. President Charles Holland conducted the business session which was followed by square dancing and refreshments. Sharon Johnson and Fred Stearns, the host duo.
