Finer and more extensive news coverage for readers of the Anaheim Bulletin was assured today with the announcement of the formation of the Orange County News Service.
The Anaheim Bu'letin has joined with three other Orange County daily newspapers and a radio station to form the "OCNS."
Interlocking teletypes with 24-hour leased wire service have been installed in the newsrooms of the Bulletin, the Fullerton News Tribune, the Orange Daily News and the Newport - Balboa - Press and radio station KVOE.
The teletype service operates in the same manner as a press service network, constantly turning out news from each section of Orange county. Each of the five members of the OCNS will have the reportorial services of the rest of the group.
As far as is known this is a "first" in the field of cooperation between four daily newspapers and a radio station.
Through this cooperative effort the OCNS will provide the quickest news service available in the county.
