Four Teams Left in Bulletin Tourn Four Teams Left in Bulletin Tournament It took 11 innings for the Elks to oust Cram Builders from Anaheim Pre-Season softball tourney yesterday. The three runs were kept in the Kneller family as L. Knoeller got two for two hits in five trips to the plate while P. Knoeller picked one run for one hit in five times at bat. One of his connections went for a triple. The final score was 3-1 for the Elks with both teams collecting six hits. Robertshaw - Fulton converted four walks and nine hits into seven runs to down Dixie Cup, 7-2. Cliff Horton and Chuck Denney doubled for the winners, while John Mitchel did the same for the losers. Artesia Reform turned three hits and one walk into four runs, getting good mileage in beating First Baptist No. 1, 4-0. Hurler P. Boogerd tossed a no-hitter and allowed only one base on balls in accomplishing the feat. The fourth game saw Sacred Heart take Grace Lutheran into camp, 4-0, converting four hits into runs. One mild consolation remained with the losing nine, they outhit Sacred Heart five to four. Short stop A. Rodriquez collected two of the hits for the winners with one a two-bagger. Next Monday, Elks and Robertshaw - Fulton will collide at City Park starting at 7 p.m. At 8:30 p.m. Sacred Heart and Artesia Reform square off also at City Park. The winners of these two games will fight it out Tuesday night for the beautiful Bulletin trophy. Last year's winner was the Elk's team. Elks Walker, B. Knaller, P. Knoeller, L. Campbell, D. Middlecoff, former National Open champion and leading money winner of 1953, held a three stroke lead over the big field as the golfers teed off in the second round of the 54-hole tournament today. The Memphis dentist, who represents Kiamesha Lake, N.Y., nowadays, battled head winds of 40 miles an hour yesterday and still came in with a three-under-par 69. That put him well ahead of second place Marvin (Bud) Ward, the former National Amateur champion, and Shelley Mayfield, the young star playing out of Chicopee, Mass. They each had an even-par 72 on the 6826-yard Lake Merced Country Club course. Bulletin Tourney oust Cram Builders from the yesterday. The three winning ys as L. Knoeller got two runs while P.
