Rails Deflate Stock Market
NEW YORK (UP)—Easing road shares deflated a temporary spurt in the automobile and air stocks today.
The net result was a general selloff in the market at a time when news generally was concorded to be excellent on corporations.
Declining prices outnumbered gains late in the session, in with the usual procedure of tax profits when the news is good.
Early in the day, Briggs Mfg facturing gave the market its first feature. The stock opened at shares at 37 l-2 up to 6-3 point news Chrysler is buying the company’s auto plants and equipment.
It subsequently lost half the price.
For a time demand for motors helped the whole market but the volume was light and market failed to generate strength.
Strong spots at the higs included Crysler, Studebaker, General Motors, and Murray poration.
Steels held well as they approached for the meetings the big producers. U.S. Steel rectors meet after the close morrow and the Bethlehem mining is set for Thursday Shares higher earnings are forecast both.
Big earnings helped see special issues, notably Inspir Copper and National Vulcan Fibre.
BANK DEBITS

explain for the first time which to use
Rinso, the only brand to offer you both—
and sensational new Rinso Detergent.
DIAPERS: Use the Soap
One sure way to be careful of baby's tender skin is to use only soap for washing diapers and all baby clothes. The mild, gentle soap in Rinso Soap leaves diapers extra soft and non-irritating. The SOLIUM leaves them white as snow!
DISHES, GLASSWARE: Use Detergent
Everybody knows detergents do a better job on your dishes than soap. But this new Rinso Detergent does even more—it washes up to twice as many dishes as the most popular detergent, and is wonderfully gentle to your hands.
WORK CLOTHES: Use either
Choose either Rinso for doing work clothes. Rinso Detergent is exceptionally good in hard water, and you don't have to rinse unless you want to. Rinso Soap gets out slightly more dirt, and you now pay about 5¢ less for the Soap.
SHIRTS: Use either
Your husband's shirts will turn out gloriously clean and white, washed with Rinso Soap or new Rinso Detergent. We guarantee he'll be delighted. The SOLIUM in these two extraordinary Rinsos will give him the whitest shirts ever.

WOOL SWEATERS & SOCKS: Use Soap
If you want your wool sweaters and socks to stay soft, wash them in soap suds. Home economists will tell you that washing with Rinso Soap removes less of the natural oil from the wool, and this helps keep it soft and fluffy.
SHEETS: Use either
The truth is that either the Soap or the Detergent will do your sheets to perfection. Both Rinsos contain SOLIUM, to leave your sheets white as can be. And both leave sheets so soft and smooth, you only have to iron the top quarter.
Only one name to remember—RINSO
TODAY you need remember only one magic name for the finest of soaps and the best of detergents—Rinso! It's all so simple and easy. Your grocer now has Rinso in both forms—soap and detergent.
Why do we make both? Because homemakers who insist on perfection are convinced that soap is definitely better for some jobs, detergent for others. Our scientists agree—and they proudly guarantee that the finest soap and detergent you can buy today both have the same name on the box: Rinso!
Each Rinso is the best in its class. Each contains SOLIUM. Each will do a terrific job for you. You can't go wrong if the name is Rinso!
Rinso Soap comes in the familiar green box. Rinso Detergent comes in a new green and yellow box. (The soap will cost you about 5 cents less.)
They are both great products, guaranteed up to the hilt by Lever Brothers Company, New York 22, N.Y.
