Sink protruding nail heads with hammer and nail set, then fill holes; eliminate squeaks by nailing, to joist nearest the squeaks.
A disk-type sander like this one is used for small areas that the drum-type sander can't reach, such as around walls, stairways.
Finish by rubbing with steel wool, sweeping and then applying two coats of the finish—door seal, varnish or shellac.

TV-RADIOLOGIC
SATURDAY, OCT. 24—At long last, the big night has arrived for KTTV (11) with their highly publicized "The Big Saturday." Talk about doing things in a big way—they sent out a girl, Sonia Smewik, who stands six feet, six inches tall, to help with the promotion. Practically jillions of other gimmicks have arrived to remind me to tell you that this is "The Big Saturday" on KTTV, with such personalities as Jack Webb, William Bendix, Beany and Cecil, Chester Morris, Stuart Hamblen, Ben Alexander, Marjorie Reynolds, Tex Ritter and a host of others performing for you... In the meantime, Jackie Gleason is still on, and tonight he introduces a new skit—a parody on prize fighting—during his show from KNXT (8) at 8... There's real prize fighting from the Legion Stadium over KECA (7) starting at 8:15... SPECIAL TOMORROW... The thrilling story behind the story of the Louisiana Purchase will be dramatized over CBS radio (KNX) at 6, followed by Edgar Bergen, who returns for the new fall season... Jack Benny will have tough-guy Humphrey Bogart making his TV acting debut during the Benny show from KNXT (2) at 7... Just an hour later (8) Bogey's wife, Lauren Bacall, appears on the first Donald O'Connor "Comedy Hour" offering of the season along with a host of other stars over KNBH (4).
