$184,078 Damage Suit Opens in Santa Ana SANTA ANA—Brought into court yesterday at the start of an $184,-623.66 damage suit hearing was the motorcycle ridden by the traffic officer Billie Joe Mills, young father, killed in collision with a school bus last March 25 near the County hospital. Mills was killed within an hour after he had visited Fullerton hospital to see his newborn son. His wife, Gloria Fay Mills, brought the damage suit on behalf of herself and the child, Terry Lynn Mills, named as defendants were Mrs. Henrietta Ann Gillespie of Anaheim, driver of the school bus, and the Archdiocese of Los Angeles Education and Welfare Corporation which operated the bus. The motorcycle ridden by Mills at the time of the crash was carried to the courthroom of Superior Judge Franklin G. West on the upper floor of the courthouse, to be used in evidence at the jury trial.
