Griff Opens New Anaheim Drive-In
Grand opening of Griff's Self-Service Picnic Drive-In at 1044 North Los Angeles St., at Lemon, is being celebrated today, tomorrow and Sunday with serving of the tastiest food in town.
This popular self-service family drive-in cafe which was formerly known as the Hula Hut, has been purchased by Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Griffin of Whittier, operators of a group of family-style self-service drive-ins in the Whittier-Le Habra area. Griffin, a veteran operator of high-class restaurants and drive-ins, assures the public of the highest type of service and the best quality of food available.
To prepare for their grand opening today, Griff's have completely renovated the premises and have provided free, off-street parking on well-lighted areas for more than 50 cars.
Hours daily will be from 11 a.m. until midnight, with service continuing until 2 a.m. on both Fridays and Saturdays.
A feature of the high quality food being served is the U.S. Government inspected and graded meals served in all forms. Specialty of Griff's self-service family picnic drive-in is the giant 15-cent hamburger which has become so popular in the Whittier-Le Habra area. Accompanying this special are the giant, thick malts featured at 30 cents and the golden brown French fries at 10 cents per serving.
Only top supplies are used at Griff's, among those being Beverly Dairies, Farmer Brothers, Nasbits, Arden Farms and other well-known suppliers.
Anaheim area families are invited to visit the modern self-service drive-in over the week and discover the treat in store for all who appreciate the best in food. Families are invited to bring their children to the grand opening and

Anaheim Village To Open Sunday
Free refreshmenst will be served this week at Anaheim Village. $08 North East Street in Anaheim, as the unofficial opening of Orange County’s newest home site.
Five model homes will be on display all day Sunday and next week; to give viewers a cross-section of the nearly 100 homes to be built at the North East Anaheim site. The five “family-sized” homes will range in price from $11,200 to $12,700. Down payments at Anaheim Village will begin at $550, the builders pointed out.
Window walls of glass, Zolatone interiors, large patios, a choice of three or four bedrooms, and two baths, are some of the features that promise to make these homes in Anaheim Village among the most desirable in Southern California.
Large breakfast areas, roomy kitchens that feature natural-finished hardwood cabinets, garbage disposers, forced-air heat, kitchen stove fans, and colored bath fixtures are also included in the homes as real “fine home” features.
