Republican Women Slate Tea Tuesday At Neukom Home
Anaheim Republican Women's club will be the hostess unit at a membership tea Tuesday, Sept. 29 between the hours of 2 and 5 p.m. The GOP social event is slated for the home of Mrs. Charles A. Neukom, 412 West Wilhelmina.
Among leading GOP women to attend will be Mrs. Thomas Kuchel, better known to her close friends as "Betty," wife of Senator Kuchel; Mrs. Henry Kuchel, mother of the Senator, and Mrs. Walter Parke, Laguna Beach, president of the Orange County Republican Women's council. Also attending will be Mrs. Charles Pearson, wife of Mayor Pearson of the city of Anaheim.
Mrs. Alden O'Connor is co-chairman of the tea with Mrs. Neukom with invitation having been extended to hosts of Party members and friends in the county. Mrs. James Carlier, president of the Anaheim GOP Women's group in behalf of the local club, issues and invitation to any person desiring to attend.

Tell South-Roberts Engagement News At Family Dinner
Betrothal is told of Miss Helen Marie South, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonardi South of 419 North St. to James Richard Roberts, son of Mr. and Mrs. Loren Roberts of 933 North Claudina St.
News of the engagement was first told at a family dinner party at the Imperial restaurant at Garden Grove, the affair planned as a celebration of Miss South's birthday anniversary.
Dorothy Bovee With Coveted G.S. Photo Magazine Award
Dorothy Bovee, 18, of North Sabina St., Anahale member of Girl Troop 27, a photography award with contribution to the "By Y Feature in the American Magazine for September,
The American Girl, public for all girls by the Girl School of the N.S.A., has a net buildup of over half a million.
The award photograph edited a horse, maybe Dorothy pet, standing with its over the corral, apparently watching his mistress leave she leaves him to his own cupations.
Audio-Visual Extension Class Opens at FJC
An audio-visual extension of the University of California Los Angeles presented by Lahe Mehr, noted lecturer on India the Orient, will begin Saturdion Junior college, acco to Stanley Warburton, superintendent.
The class will meet every Saturday from 9:30 to 12:30 from 1:30 to 3:30 in Room three units of college credit be gained by successful comof the course; cost is $30.00. Transitions will be accepted class meetings on Sept. 26 and 3. The latter date being the line.

Second Annual Coast College Barbecue To be Friday
The second annual all-school barbecue at Orange Coast College will be Friday, according to Mrs. Marle Howes, dean of women.
This is the first event of the school year to bring all of the students, faculty members and their families together. Mrs. Howes stated. The barbecue will start at 5 p.m. and all buses will be held until 7:15 to take students home following the activity. The meal is free to student body card holders and costs 50 cents to non-members.
Entertainment will include group singing and music talent from the Orange Coast College Music Department. Yell and song leaders will be on hand to lead school songs and yells. Music specialties will be offered by the "Crazy-Eight Plus Two", consisting of John Sailors, Newport Beach; Ron Morrison and Paul Alexander, Costa Meas; Herb Leue, Westminster; Warren Sturtavant, Balboa; Carole Renfro, Mary Rinne, Joyce White, and Donna Austin, Huntington Beach; and Meredith Price, Midway City.
Beef raised by the agriculture department of the college will be used with William Kimes and Mrs. Yvette in charge of preparing the meat. Donna Austin, director of activities, is in charge of planning the program and announcing. Ron Morrison will be co-chairman and announcer.

Europe's Reconstruction Told by SAC Teacher
A marked increase in reconstruction of war - ruined buildings and erection of new buildings was a major impression brought back after a summer tour of Europe by Thomas H. Glenn, head of the English department at Santa Ana college.
Glenn observed from a background of 14 overseas trips. His just - concluded tour included lengthy travels in Ireland, England, France, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Denmark, Sweden and Norway.
Glenn said the industrial recovery was most marked in northern Italy, where cities largely had been rebuilt after the pounding they took from air raids in World War II. He said Hamburg also was impressive for its rebuilding efforts. The widespread rubble and ruins so noticeable in the years 3, the latter date being the line.

Del Mar Outing Girl Scout Troop Summer Activities
Girl Scout Troop 51 group summer were active doing constructive and interesting To celebrate the opening day and the end of the vacation the nine girls in the troop a day at Del Mar, the precluding beach sports and luncheon.

Summer Activities
Girl Scout Troop 51 group this summer were active doing many constructive and interesting things. To celebrate the opening of school and the end of the vacation period nine girls in the troop spent day at Del Mar, the party including beach sports and a picnic bancheon.
They were accompanied by their leader, Mrs. Max Hiltscher, Mrs. Jerry Shakolan, Mrs. D. Kauffman and Mrs. Gilbert Porter.

Northrop Women to Stage Fashion Dansant
"Fall Fashions for Factory Fun and Formal" is the theme of the fashion show that will feature the Northrop Recreation Women's Dinner club "Lumcheon dansant" at the Lakewood Country club Saturday afternoon.
Other than seeing the beauty in women's clothing for the 1953 season, the Norcrafter ladies as models, entertainment and special gifts will be the order of the day. Dancing will be enjoyed to Chuck new directress, Mrs. T.E. Harrison.
Luncheon Meeting of the Katella Parent-Teacher League is slated for Tuesday Sept. 29 at 1:15 p.m. at the school.
