Nixon is a politician of talent, there is a limit to which he will improve his golf game when he is playing with his boss, President Eisenhower. Nixon still refers to himself as a "hacker" and took up the game seriously only eight months ago. In January, he was dubbing around the Columbia Club course in Washington in 120 strokes or better. Yesterday, here at the Cherry Hills country club playing in a foursome with the President, Nixon broke 100 by several strokes. The President's score was a secret as closely guarded as the password to Ft. Knox. Nixon, however, fired a 280-yard drive straight down the middle on the first fairway. The President's drive was about 30 yards shorter. On the second hole, "hacker" Nixon shot a par four, the President's drive as awbout 30 yards shorter and to the left. That's all of the match the reporters saw for themselves, but Nixon reported afterward with becoming modesty that the President shot much better golf for the entire round than he did. The foursome in which the President and Nixon were playing defeated a following foursome captained by Gov. Dan Thornton of Colorado. Nixon didn't believe he would ever be as good as the Chief Executive, but he pointed out with bursting pride that his first tee shot was the best ball he'd hit since he took up the game last January. (UP)—This jittery Southern Missouri city today counted the seventh deadly cobra killed in a residential area in recent weeks and hoped it was the last. A passing motorist trapped the reptile with a stick last night and held it at bay until police arrived and shot it. H. K. Hutton said he saw the snake crossing a street. He ran over it with his car, but the wheels missed it. He circled and tried again to hit it. The snake rose, spread its hood, and struck at the moving vehicle. After it crawled under another car, Hutton trapped the cobra with a stick. The snake, whose bite could take a human life in three minutes, was the smallest yet killed.
